Yes, some uploaders are bad, or just plain lazy, about providing names with their uploads. Pictures coming from various Tumblr sites can be hard to identify. You can sometimes find a name by clicking on Uploader on the right side of a picture and scrolling down to Source (of picture).

The only other place I've run into that restriction is where the people who run the forum also have some pay sites for actual material and they don't want you posting about other pay sites, but you can talk about stuff from their sites.

And I thought this particular forum is Paysite Reviews which seems you should be able to post stuff and talk about paysites. I do not get it.

GWM is not a paysite.  It's where users post mostly stuff from social media.  Everything posted is free, and whatever is posted from paysites ends up removed.  Saradas is a forum, and in my opinion not worth the effort.  And a lot of the sites you're referencing are very old and poorly maintained.  It is what it is.  Not everything on the internet ages well.
