I was going to ask what contest this was from (I've seen a gif before), but looking it up it seems the only time she competed was the 1999 NPC Junior Nationals, which made it pretty easy!

Such a classic and unique clip seemed worth putting on the main site:

She looks ravishing with excellent prominent proportions

Not super high, but sexy (at least to me) and she's definitely muscular. This is Helena Ordonez who has other pics here on GWM.

^ I remember that video. I remember another guy driving with his mom in his 03/04 Cobra who looks built too. As a car person thumbs up to them.

So I have no doubts at this point that most everyone already knows Japanese MMA fighter, Rin Nakai - but I'm curious to know if there are other fans of her martial arts career here who have any thoughts or insight on the following, regarding her campaign to make a return to the UFC:

Genuinely, Rin is an extremely talented and dedicated practitioner of multiple combat disciplines, most notably Judo...but I think what sets Rin apart from her competition is her steadfast dedication to excellence in physical strength, agility, and overall peak fitness. It's seriously impressive. Of course, what initially drew me in and made me a fan is her unique quirky personality and love of showing off her hard work's results. :)

In any case, I'm also wondering why specifically Rin hasn't been able to return to the UFC. I haven't found too much info on the inner workings by looking online but it's extremely clear from her tweets, interviews, etc. that she really wants to fight in the UFC again. It would be like a dream come true. Back in 2014 or 2015, she got the opportunity but (according to her account of events) she was too small for the bantamweight class and should have been at flyweight...but at that time, the women's UFC didn't even have a flyweight division. So as a result, she dropped 2 straight decisions to bantamweight opponents, THE ONLY LOSSES IN HER ENTIRE PRO FIGHT CAREER.

Aside from those 2 losses by decision, her record is absolutely stellar with 26 wins and 1 tie with 1 no-contest. Out of the 26 wins for Rin Nakai, 9 have been by KNOCKOUT (sheesh!) and 11 have been by SUBMISSION (double-sheesh!) and she is still the #2 ranked pound-for-pound women's fighter in Japan. She's been on an unsurprising hot streak as of late as has essentially beaten most every fighter in her circuit. Within Japan, there really isn't anyone else left for her to conquer. Moreover, she's defeated Kanako Murata before, and Murata eventually went on to sign with the UFC's strawweight division.

To play devil's advocate, Rin hasn't exactly been feasting on stellar competition as only a handful of her non-UFC opponents have had stellar records. And remember that 1 draw result I mentioned earlier? Rin fought Danielle West in 2012 for the Queen of Pancrase title. And let's just say it was a bit controversial...but any foul play or wrongdoing/fixing should be laid at the feet of Pancrase MMA (Rin's promoter at the time who hosted the event) and not Rin Nakai herself it seems. Since that (shady?) weirdness took place BEFORE Rin's UFC debut though, I doubt it's still seen as a legit reason to keep her out of the UFC unless of course there are bigger issues with Pancrase MMA itself that the UFC might have. It's worth noting that Pancrase is a bit unconventional in its approach to marketing fighters and building brands. Most of this can probably be chalked up to cultural differences. They are, after all, the ones who produced all of the "strange" ASMR-type videos of Rin that made some of us fall in love with her. :P

On the pure hard numbers, I think there's no case that can be made that Rin hasn't done enough to earn another chance. It can't be a weight issue, because she's at 57 kg, which is the exact same weight as Ji-Yeon Kim, who was fighting in the flyweight division of the UFC until May of this year. To be fair, Kim got absolutely COOKED by the UFC competition with like 4 or 5 losses. So maybe the UFC is just worried about the same happening for Rin? Idk really, but Rin's been training her tail off and just summarily ASSBLASTING her competition overseas to earn that spot. After an impressive victory in February, Rin politely challenged Valentina Shevchenko from the UFC's flyweight division, who is ranked #1 in the division and #2 pound-for-pound. Valentina appeared to be up for the challenge, on the condition that Rin Nakai makes it back into the UFC and cracks the Top 10 Rankings...challenge undoubtedly accepted.

Tbh, it all just seems like a very unfortunate case of bad timing for Rin. :( I've heard some talk that the UFC is concerned that her wrestling/judo-based style may not be a great fit or have enough entertainment value but ANYONE who has seen any of Rin Nakai's fights and ANYONE who knows what she's all about should have ZERO doubts that Rin Nakai would be an instant fan favorite. She is obviously Japanese and takes her Japanese roots (but not herself <3) very seriously, which is evident from the outfits she's worn and the pop culture influences on her persona which are evident through aspects such as her stint as a gravure idol. <3 So there's even some speculation that her inability to crack the UFC roster is just reflective of a broader trend within the UFC of underappreciating and/or neglecting the careers/backgrounds of East Asian fighters, but I haven't spent nearly enough time researching it to comment on that situation in detail.

Admittedly, I'm not a neutral broker of information here, as I'm always gonna be very biased in favor of Rin Nakai but I think I've laid out the case for her eventual return to the UFC, as well as some of the considerable obstacles. As a big fan of hers inside and outside of the ring, it would also be a dream come true for me to see her get another shot at it! I hope she gets another chance! <3

Here's a great video where a guy goes to watch his mom (Jay Shanks) compete, and she does quite well. Skip the first 5 minutes which is all about cars.
