Completely quitting training is one thing compared to not competing or deciding not to be a part of "the industry." I think a lot of women leave the constant dieting and the endorsements/promotions/social media/competition scene, but still continue to train.
A lot of good points. And don’t forget: if the thrill and incentive to train is the fun of getting bigger and seeing changes, there will be diminishing returns on that. After a couple years, it takes the same amount of work to make even a little progress. There are few financial rewards. To go from one’s 20s into one’s 30s while trying to balance physical health, career development, and family planning... it’s a lot.
It's a difficult and demanding lifestyle, the long training sessions 5 or 6 times a week, the diet, the supplements, the gear.
Very few people can stay dedicated to this more than 2 years, there's a point where the fun and enjoyment you get from it is too low compared to the effort.
I used to lift heavily and was very invested in it for 3 year approximately, I tried to get back on it every now an then for a couple of months, but the time and energy it takes its just too much for me considering I have a job and family outside of that.
And I wasn't even training as much and as hard as most women on this site.
I think if I could afford not to work, then yes I would get back on it, but working 40 or 45 hours a week + driving 1h to get to work + spending time and going out with your family etc etc, it's hard to combine that with a serious and consistent training
I had a similar thought. I was very active with weight training and other stuff through college up until a couple of years ago and then my body started to really fight me. And I was like “I’m not competing why am I working so damn hard” so 2020 as much as it was a shit year allowed me to basically not work out at all to relax and take a step back. I think a lot of women have the same thought
I think there is a combination of 1 and 2. They meet a bf who is fine with them training, but not at all fine with them having exposure to others through their training or modeling. There are several examples of women who disappear completely when they hook up with a certain (jealous/possessive) bf, only to happily reappear when they break up.
No one cares about your reasons for posting. Work hard. Post what you want. People are going to do whatever they feel like when they see it. You can't control that. But you can stop posting or make everything completely private on your social media.
No one out here is responsible for the choices you made.
Wouldn't you have to be considerably smaller/weaker than the woman in order to be considered a schmoe? A lot of male bodybuilders end up marrying female bodybuilders but I don't think they would be considered schoes for that.
One thing I've noticed about OF and Patreon is that it's allowing women to show themselves int he way they want to be perceived. At least that's how I'm hearing it. "I've wanted to do stuff like this for ages" or "i can finally show off my body as I want to" without the social media limits.
sometimes they just don't want to flex because it's weird to them. I found Natasha Aughey's oldass flex videos from like ten years ago and watching her face is so familiar, because I did a muscle shoot with a friend and she was just uncomfortable with posing like that
of course, i REALLY don't get when women are opposed to a request asking them to flex their biceps for a post, but are definitely ok posting videos of them nude or having sex.
I don't get it, really. Female bodybuilding is different than male, most of fbb fans are attracted to muscular woman and they are following them because of that. Of course, there are disgusting creeps amongst them and there are educated fans, who know about training, effort, nutrition, etc, but underlining of all of that is being attracted to female muscular bodies. And if those chicks are making money because of their fanbases, they should know that. Puting all fans in the one bucket, just because some of them are creeps, is not fair.
But of course, I try to understand them also, some of these girls may be more immune to receiving unpleasent attention from some retards, who have incredible audacity in their comments, and some girls may be less. But still, they making money with their bodies, its no different from being a model, but its obvious that fbbs have different viewers.
If you are that hot, it is your duty to show off your muscles for our pleasure. Period!!!
This is fucked up.
If the argument "This is shitty and dehumanizing to the women" doesn't convince you not to harass them, then maybe you are more receptive to "If you keep treating them like objects they will go away and you will have fewer hot women to look at."
The problem I see is that a lot of people approach these women as objects of fetish instead of human beings. They aren't interested in them, they just see them as inanimate objects. Of course it's a turn off for them.
And remember these are the girls personal accounts most of the time, that their IRL friends see. If you are going to say stupid shit there of course they are going to get off IG or private their account. Remember this the next time you are going to comment "I want to lick your biceps" on some girls IG. Especially if they are underage.
My solution is simple I have one single personal IG account. So whatever I comment can potentially be seen by my friends who follow me. No secondary or hidden insta stalker accounts.
Especially if they receive that stuff by DM, that's why more and more women are turning their instagram private and also asking admins to not appear on this site anymore
^ this x100 ... I only have one Instagram account (my personal account) and since I'm not adding any of these women to my personal account I have a list of accounts I follow in a folder. Once upon a time I had about 200 pages I followed and now I'm down to maybe 100 due to women setting the pages private. Kessia Mirellys's page is now private which is a big disappointment ... her physique was amazing.
The next big thing probably isn't.

semi kim wait til the end
One would expect that they like the aesthetics themselves, that's why I find it strange why someone would completely quit if they were natural.
I'd hate to find out that the haters are correct and most of them were using so they had to stop.

Yeah, but she came to the realization that gals like Hayley McNeff came to: this shit just wasn't fun anymore.
Can be for personal reasons, Rosie Harte used to compete back in the day.
should start a new discussion,,what are the requirements to be considered a schmoe

Before he passed away, I remember seeing pictures of actor and dancer Gregory Hines at fbb shows taking pics with women

literally the kind of mentality we are trying to not propagate. this is why women quit.
