scared (55, 27.4%)

Fears I feel as though this fetish/preference is already quite disconnected from reality (hardly ever actually seeing these women) and AI has the potential to take that even further. Chatbots and videos are already quite good and it kinda scares me to think of how sexually isolated it might make people in the future. Further, even worse than now those of us who get some in real life won't be able to achieve the same high from real life.

Possibilities Im sure everybody's already thought of this before, but Blade runner 2049 with Ana de Armas being jacked.

I think I am good at separating reality from fantasy. and I am still interested in the real ones since ai is not quite realistic enough.and I can imagine meeting these women in real life. while the ai women are clearly fake. and for the ai stuff I tend to just go crazy and make super human women breaking the laws of physics.

Why be scared though? I think we will get incredible content that will be fun and hot. I feel like the content today is much different from what it used To be in terms of what real FBBs are willing to create

The separating of fantasy from reality is important. No matter how good AI gets with images and videos, there needs to be a part of your brain that knows this isn't real. It's not just AI though. People build up deep intricate fantasies around cam performers or onlyfans models. It's basically the same trap. To answer the question, no it doesn't worry me, but I can see how there is a danger there.

All of us will be affected for sure, but

Agree All of us will be affected, but i´m sure all of us have read people (in these forums too) that are too deep into the fantasy side and will be eatean alive by an AI that feeds them exactly what they want to consume. Staying in touch with reality will be very important and i think most of us will be able to manage it to a certain point being able to enjoy it without drowning in it. For the kids growing up right now i´m not that optimist, i remember in the dawn of smartphones people cheering their kids and jokingly saying that little babies could handle the smartphones better and more intuitively than adults, now they became a generation of zombies, completely addicted to screens. I´m afraid something similar could happen with the AI gen

Pros/Possibilities:

  • Growing potential of image/video generation. This is our version of the holodeck.
  • giving some agency to fetishists to enjoy on their own terms. I would rather pay $30 a month to a corp for credits than pay $30 access for an OF account and get IG level content, or worse.

Cons/Fears: - those that can't separate reality from fantasy (though this is not limited to us) - people getting really attached and parasocial with their OCs (again, not limited to us) - people who will take it too far

Bottom line: it's fake, and I know it's fake, but when I grew up reading MAK's stories on geocities, that was fake and i knew it was fake too. And, to some degree, anything i saw on a paysite was "fake" (some of the RP or skits or sometimes measurements etc) so i'm not particular worried about that. i am worried for some: there are a lot of guys on here that can't distinguish real breasts from implants.

This. Morphs are as old as the internet, and fantasy cartoons/drawings pre-date those.

I hate AI. It's great for tech CEOs to make more money though. More billions

It’s just another medium for spank bank material. I’m not diluted enough to think I’m going to find some imaginary perfect 10 female bodybuilder and convince her to marry me. Bring on the ai smut, the more realistic the better.

My view is that if we start getting off on AI material over real material then it’s a slippery slope. I tend to skirt over the AI Gens forum. I see the appeal of the “NOT photorealistic images” as that’s pure fantasy but what’s the point in “Actually photorealistic images” when you can just go to the Images forum and see real girls with muscle. This may be an old fashioned approach but I genuinely believe it’s more natural to want to view images of real people. Because it just becomes a bit weird and depraved otherwise.

Aniston, Interesting perspective. I’m almost inclined to argue the opposite, though I haven’t really worked it out entirely. Some might argue it’s less depraved to get off to fake images because no real person was (for lack of a better term) debased? I can appreciate the slippery slope argument, that peoples’ desires would be pushed to extremes, but don’t we already have that with porn? Porn sex isn’t what real people should expect and I think most would agree it’s unrealistic to aspire to, especially when you get to the fringe stuff. Porn stars, likewise, are an unrealistic expectation for most of us as a sexual partner. And to follow up on that, if one can be realistic about the difference between a real person you could be sexually active with and a porn star, then why worry about how far from reality the smut gets?

There are plenty of people who struggle with that separation, but not everyone.

Could you elaborate more on how you see it? When I talk about photorealistic images, I’m referencing ones who are beyond normal human limits, or maybe they’ve just replaced an unfortunate looking face, not just generating fake gwm who fall within the realm of possibility.

i am diluted enough. one of these days, one of these GWM models will come knocking at my door, begging me to love them. watch. also, where was the button for "not sure"

Inadequate poll, not enough options. In the context of AI fbbs, I simply don't care.

Here’s a fun thing to do with AI (Grok since it doesn’t hold back). Ask for an interactive story with your favorite FBB and see where it goes

Not interested in AI FBB. I am also interested in who they actually are. I already hate it that I have to treat every pic with skepticism. As AI gets more advanced it will only get more problematic to separate the fake from the real.

With how many times you see (mostly old) dudes falling hard for AI models and trying to hit on them, I can only see more people getting duped as it gets better, and that includes schmoes.

Do people who post those ridiculous “you’re so beautiful, I would make you my wife,” crazy ass comments on social media accounts ACTUALLY think someone might take them up on their offer?

They're almost as dumb as people who think (such) women don't marry a man's money.

I have a few fears, in addition to the AI bubble popping and destroying the world economy while taking my job and 401K down with it.

  • The graph of LLM model improvement over Compute time is proving to be logarithmic, not exponential. I fear we're going to enter a stagnation era, where further refinement is hindered by model collapse (i.e. AI inbreeding).

  • With the entire internet turning into bots talking to one another, good content becomes nearly impossible to find in a sea of slop.

  • Backlash to AI deepfakes brings back the SOPA/PIPA bullshit, subjecting us to our own version of the great firewall of China. Forever destroying what is left of the internet (this site included).

Do people who post those ridiculous “you’re so beautiful, I would make you my wife,” crazy ass comments on social media accounts ACTUALLY think someone might take them up on their offer?

Your average active Facebook user is a special grade of moron rendered incapable of critical thinking by years of deliberate algorithm design. Meta won't clamp down on all of the fraud because they make good money from it, and there is no one left in a regulatory capacity that hasn't already been paid off to call them out on it.

There is recent research out now that correlates the smart phone and social media with increases in depression, isolation, anxiety and declining birth rates. What happened to all that blissful connectivity we were promised? AI will worsen all of these social trends. Real people will create false relationships with AI bots to help with isolation which will only worsen depression and anxiety. Extra bonus is that AI will also make everyone much dumber as we become reliant on tools that think and do for us.

I personally am pro technology since I use high tech in my work. I also use AI but carefully so that critical thinking and decisions are my own. And I also see how people can have fun with AI as long as they retain their human agencies. But AI is probably as addictive as nicotine or crack and most people will just get sucked into its artificial environment. I think it doesn’t belong in general society, it’s too powerful for the unprepared human brain to negotiate.

Fully support absolutely everything you’ve stated here. Well written.
