Backwards at this point, re-injured my shoulder and suffering plantar fasciitis too. Can't catch a break, after getting fucked up skiing on moguls last winter. Diet wise I have been experimenting with Huel ready to drink shakes as a punishment "too lazy too cook meal", and they are less horrible than expected but kind of expensive for what they are. But I really need to cut out the ethanol based anti-depressants...

For plantar fascitis a pair of Hoka clifton shoes really helped me (i have no financial connection or conflict of interest to report with Hoka they just helped me alot)

I also have shoulder injuries. Those are tougher to rehab. Sometimes a deadhang from a pullup bar helps me alot but not sure what type of injury you have. Mine was injured bench pressing and feels like impingement

I might have to try it, I'm just looking at the dry & mosquito free mountain bike trails with envy right now. Perfect conditions for a 10 mile hike after work too...

I'm not entirely sure what I did to my shoulder apart from moving a garden tractor engine and frame around the garage for welding repairs and painting a ceiling at my girlfriends place. But that was weeks prior. I was doing regular light exercise with some Amazon-special resistance bands too. Will have to try the deadhangs.

Always room for improvement. I started walking everywhere during Covid, and now I spend half my work day idly fantasizing about quitting and hiking the Appalachian Trail (assuming I can get healthy enough to actually do it and ignoring the fact my knees probably wouldn't survive).

Went from 205 in November to 184 as of last week.

Been staying consistent in the gym, and with steady state cardio, and diet (cut down big time on beer), all while dealing with a nagging injury.
