Just run away from this stuff as soon as possible. Especially if you're young. I'm in my 30s and have been viewing this stuff for half my life now. Not that long, but long enough to have made me lose masses of time, career opportunities, skill development opportunities, knowledge, friendships, and again, TIME.
It doesn't matter if real life sucks. I'm sure it does suck for many here. But using anything addictive to cope makes it even worse in the long run. Find something else to enjoy; a cup of tea, a slice of cake, a novel, coding, philosophy, whatever. You don't have to be some hotshot winner Chad to enjoy things like that. Go enjoy these moderate, wholesome pleasures and then go and look at the problems you have in your lives and make a start on solving them. Even if it looks impossible - just start somewhere. Quitting porn and substance abuse is a fair place to start.
