Don't be shy guys!
Yea right now I am a casual gamer and my favorite games right now are lord of the rings online and genshin impact. I used to be a big fan of wow and runescape and before that a lot of game boy games like Wario land. and I started gaming in the 90s playing random arcade games and pc and game boy. I am a big fan of retro gaming too and I have a collection of old nes and atari games from before my time. and I got into other random games over the years like crash bandicoot street fighter and so on.
but right now I am not gaming as much as I used to because I watch a lot of YouTube and anime. and I am teaching myself how to program and maybe make my own games one day and other hobbies. so right now I only game for 15 minutes a day on average some days I have gamer days when I play for hours. but it's way less than a few years ago but at least I am not bored
I have a huge interest in gaming and gaming has been a big part of my life since I was a kid in the 1990s, I can remember getting up early in the morning to play Panzer General II, Aces of the Pacific, and Age of Empires. My personal favorites are city builders, first person shooters, and real time strategy.
Been a gamer since the early 90s. Had a variety of Nintendo consoles, Dreamcast, PC gaming, and then jumped onto the PS4 and PS5
Currently playing Absolum on PS5. It's a fantasy beatem up (eg. Streets of Rage), but with "rogue lite" elements, so every time you die, you can build up your character, add new moves, perks, etc to make the next attempt easier. I honestly love that style of gameplay. Very addictive. Returnal and God of War Ragnarok Valhalla arey favourites with that type of gameplay loop.
I am not up to date with the current gaming though I do play old school games sometimes for PC and Nintendo systems. Just to name a few:
Simcity 2000 pc Civilization 1 PC
Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past SNES WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2011 Wii Perfect Dark N64 Super Mario RPG SNES
Perfect Dark was so fucking good. Took a already legendary game (Goldeneye) and cranked it all up to 11.
I grew up with Pong all the way through to PS3s. I play only casually now because I work two jobs, have family commitments, and have taken up bodybuilding. But when I do I have time I play BG3, Kenshi, the Long Dark, and No Mans Sky. You’d like Kenshi because everyone on your crew can get jacked hahaha
I grew up playing on a Game Boy, a PS1+N64 and a Game Boy Color some years later.
I switched to PS2 and GameCube in the early 2000s, then PS3 and XBOX 360, with some PC gaming both Steam and physical copies.
I've also played some PSP and Game Boy Micro.
Now I'm still using my PS4, waiting to find a PS5 for a reasonable price.
I've played many series like Hitman, Splinter Cell, Uncharted, Duke Nukem, Resident Evil, GTA and many others.
My favorite games are multiple-choice titles like Life Is Strange, The Walking Dead, Until Dawn, Erica and some others.
Quantic Dream (David Cage) games are my all time favorites, Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy), Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human.
Heavy Rain in 1st place, Fahrenheit in 2nd, Detroit: Become Human in 3rd and Beyond: Two Souls in 4th.
Games in my wishlist:
Quantum Break
GTA 6
RoboCop: Rogue City
Alan Wake 2
Life Is Strange: Double Exposure
Life Is Strange: True Colors (played on PC)
Lost Judgment (I've played Judgment on PS4)
PS4 and PS5 versions cost the same.
I know PS4 version offers a free upgrade to PS5 digital version, like Hitman 3 and Alan Wake Remastered, but I prefer to wait and buy the PS5 physical copy.
What are you currently playing?
I'm playing Blacksad: Under The Skin.
Although graphic isn't the best, and character's movements are limited, the plot is pretty interesting.
I love detective games like L.A. Noire or the old CSI and Law & Order PC games.
Sherlock Holmes deserves a mention too.
Blacksad is quite slow overall, even using and SSD isn't helping getting faster loading times.
My vote: 6/10
I've been playing video games since the days of -- are you ready? -- Colecovision!
Nowadays I'm playing on a PS5, and my favorite game genres are racers, adventures, platforms, and shooters.
Some of the games I've enjoyed most in the last year include Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 7, Returnal, Resogun, Pinball Arcade, Far Cry 6, Sniper Elite 5, and the Precinct.
I'm not very good any more -- my septuagenarian reflexes have slowed a fair amount -- but I dive in for an hour or two every night and enjoy myself immensely.
Anything to get out of Trump World for a while!
I just started on The Thing Remastered for PS5. Really good and simple game.
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, wore it out and got another one. Big time gamer growing up, especially with Doom and Street Fighter. Now I just play casual shit like Parkitect. But right now I'm playing Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) and enjoying the world they built (based on Tolkein's lore, of course).
Very into games, it's my job!
Been gaming ever since I was young, starting with stuff like C&C and other strategy games.
Recently been playing Helldivers 2, star citizen, Rainbow6, Hades 2, Forged Alliance, and many more.
Also play a lot of TTRPG's PC mostly.
Who wants a cup of liber - tea?
Just platinumed thanks to the help of friends. It deserved to be GOTY 2024. Having just finished Ghost of Yotei, we continue in Japan with Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Wow. You can't talk about video games without bringing up Trump. That's sad.
Anywho, I first had an Atari 2600 and then an Intellivision.

There is some irony in this given that Trump has recently posted AI slop imagery of himself wearing Master Chief's armor.
Anyway. Just finished Silksong a couple days ago. Fantastic game that was well-worth the wait. I think I slightly prefer the original Hollow Knight, but that might change after a second playthrough.
Started the Final Fantasy Tactics remake. Also have been playing Blue Prince, and I keep finding myself coming back to Balatro.
I'm surprised I can't find a thread about this.
