I had a lot of trouble with bullies as a child and started working out when I was 11 years old. This was in 1967 before working out was popular. I have never stopped. At their biggest my biceps were a bit over twenty inches, but at that time I have to admit I was carrying some extra weight. Now I am a bit over nineteen. Well see how long I can keep this up as I age.
Alright i'll call it final results now 14.76 inches on average. If you biceps is 12 incehs you are bigger than 6.3% of others on this site, if 13, you are bigger than 17.3%, if 14: 30.6%, 15: 46.8%, 16: 65.8%, 17: 80%, 18: 88.7%, 19: 93.7%, 20: 95%. Idk who got the biggest of them all, feel free to comment below.
An interesting data point on my end... wondering if others have had similar experiences.
Earlier this year I measured my biceps at 15". But over the past 2-3 months I've lost a little over 20 lbs (intentionally). Now they measure just a bit over 14". That's kind of disappointing, although I have a bit more definition than I did before.
I've been lifting during this period - not going too crazy since I've been in a calorie deficit - and I haven't lost any strength, so I don't think I've lost significant muscle mass.
I didn't expect that it'd make this much of a difference, as I don't carry much fat on my arms and legs; my fat distribution is more like a vest, uniformly distributed around my torso.
I've changed to a slightly different split which more aggressively targets the arms (hitting biceps, triceps, and delts twice a week, with a third occasionally thrown in for fun). I'm slowly approaching my target weight (not looking to get too cut; I prefer more of a maintainable "strong" look with a little cushioning all around), so I'm gradually increasing calories toward maintenance levels, and hitting the weights a little more heavily over the winter.
Hoping to get back to 15" by next year, just not without the extra fat. At one point in my 20's I was approaching 16". Not sure whether I'll get back there in my mid-40's. I also have somewhat smaller bone structure; my wrists are barely 7", so 15-16" looks pretty big on me.
I'm a middle-aged man and my flexed bis are 13". From this site it's not uncommon these days for 20-year-old girls to have bigger muscles than me. I saw beautiful Asian girl on the train today, half my age, standing upright by the door with perfect posture and completely filling out her fitted t-shirt. Her arms were gently bulging and her stomach looked completely flat. If we took our shirts off there'd be no hiding she's way buffer than me.
you agree with me jalala
