I would say those involved represent a bell curve of attractiveness. 1). Years of free-radicals, PEDs, etc. take a toll 2). Many are older and actually look damn good for their age 3). Those that go to the extreme often are overcompensating for something else (eg, not getting noticed by guys as much as their friends)
All in all, plenty are very attractive
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so if the beholder has unrealistic expectations you're going to think that.
Have a look around. Most women aren't beautiful. Truly beautiful women are rare. The percentage of beautiful women in muscle sports is probably the same or better than women in general. That's the answer.
Exactly. I could give a very long list of women featured on this site who look absolutely stunning.
Oh my god. I saw this post when he first posted it and thought no one will give this troll one bit of oxygen and here we are on page 2. Come on guys.
I get what he’s saying. Why do you not see more girls like Ida or Stephanie Sanzo who are actually super attractive women with or without muscle.
the steroids
1000000000000000000000000000000000000000% I have seen the b4 pics and after pics. They really bloke out.
In my eyes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I love huge muscles, I love the confidence, I love strength. All of that is incredibly sexy to me. I don’t really care if female bodybuilders don’t have the “beauty” that is conventional. They are incredible sexy to me.
This is basically a comparison of faces. An important factor is that female beauty rapidly fades. Women should file a class-action lawsuit against God. Building a physique takes time. A lot of women do not get into hard-core fitness until their thirties (and later).
If you're comparing the beauty industry vs. the fitness industry, there's less of a premium on faces in the latter because visible muscle tone is so important. Julia Roberts had a fitness model do her body scenes in Pretty Woman. Also, people generally look better in clothes (more symmetrical, weak areas strategically covered). I'm not a fan of Angelina Jolie's body, but she has an absurdly sculpted face.
For you yes but for me her face a 6 But that's why it's all subjective For me i have never seen an 8+ face with a body like Andrea
If that is true your big girl beauty standards are unattainable. All the ladies below competed as heavyweights as well. Along with Andrea, this is about as good as it gets.
The OP asked why "muscular girls" are ugly. This to me would encompass any woman with most levels of muscularity, not just bodybuilders. Obviously this is not my opinion (that they're ugly), I'm just pointing out the language that is being used, and that some of you are assuming he just meant bodybuilders.
> Ok since you guys asked for examples, then i will show you a couple. > Here is one example of what i mean when i meant average or ugly. > > > Here is a beautiful girl >
Besides the very good argument given by asianfitnessfan, I think it's also a matter of taste? Because for me, in the two examples you gave, I think Brittany is prettier than Melany. Other than that, yeah, for some the steroids or whether they are off season or on season play a role. There are some FBBs who have way above average beauty but before competitions they have those dried skeleton faces which you may see quite often in pictures and may contribute to the perception they are generally ugly. I'd say pick like 20 random muscular (more natural) girls from instagram, look at their off-season pictures and see how many you find pretty. Then pick 20 random regular girls, see how many you find pretty.
Have you looked at all the other pics of Brittany Jenkins? The one you used as the example is one of her worst. She's scrunching her nose and making a face. So many of her others she's absolutely beautiful, IMO!! And the more "in shape" a person is and the closer they are to competition the less fat they have all over, even in the face, which becomes harder and more angular looking, which some of you may not appreciate and think is ugly. I know the work and dedication needed to achieve a stage ready physique and find that drive and determination to be extremely attractive.
Different strokes for different folks. Take Natalia Trukhina. Some guys absolutely go nuts for her look. Me personally? Not my thing. Give me a Denise Hosher, Cindy Phillips, Lisa Bickels, Monica Mollica, Shannon Seeley, Rene Marven, or Dani Reardon any day.
This thread is honestly pretty pointless. What I'll say might shock OP but the majority of people are average looking. Who would've thought?
If there's anything to learn here is that bodybuilding isn't a sport chosen based on looks, you have people from all kinds of attractiveness pursuing it. All of us have our tastes so what I find attractive someone else might not.
Majority? Damn that's harsh. This is never a thought that crossed my mind. It's all in the eye of the beholder.
