Hi all - I got a "critical attack prevented" warning from my antivirus software while viewing GWM a view minutes ago.  No harm done, but just letting you know.  Larry

This is my third message regarding the virus warnings u guys are getting from your spyware protection. BEWARE I do believe the severe virus "win 7 antispyware 2012" is on this site and my pc suffered an attack as I was viewing pics here last night. I can't say 100% where it came from but I do know it happened as I was viewing a pic here. Luckily I had a restore point that my system recovery was able to use so now my laptop is back in action. But it was very scary and even the malwarebytes software I had couldn't remove it!! Thats scary. I can say if I hadn't had a restore point set I would have had to do a complete factory wipe on my laptop. This virus is no joke. Anyway I'm still gonna surf the site because I love musclebabes but be on alert and make sure to have a restore point set on your computer and all the virus protection turned on etc..

Me three! My anti-virus keeps warning me of Malware, blocks URLs & general dodgyness on this site now, every time I visit.

Pity really, used to enjoy visiting here.

I'm getting the same messages from my Zone Alarm, but it's only when the stupid Clicksor ads take me to a different page.  It doesn't happen on every page, but only on the occasional one.  This isn't the hugely annoying fake virus alarm phishing ad that I'm getting sent to sometimes, but a real one from my actual antivirus.  I'm pretty much ready to ditch this site for good.

I'm using Avira AntiVir, which was unfortunately unable to stop it, whatever it was exactly. It was a specifically German fake antivirus blocking my system. Somehow my PC seems to have recovered, but I don't trust it... I'll be staying away from the site, but I'll be monitoring this thread for hopefully good news allowing me back on again.

It seemed to originate from one of the full-screen click-through ads. Does turning off the ads turn off all ads? Either way, it is of course not a true solution. I would strongly recommend Chainer to find another advertising service. This is not something that should be supported, let alone associated with your Web site.

You can go here . . .

http://www.girlswithmuscle.com/myprofile/index.php?pagename=ads

 . . . to turn off the ads.

As noted, however, this site depends on ad revenue to stay afloat.  So, one might consider turning the ads back on once this virus/trojan issue is resolved.

Google warned...

 "Reported Attack Page!This web page at carsrentsweden.info has been reported as an attack page and has been blocked based on your security preferences."

Maybe only get rid of ads from carsrentsweden.info and keep the rest.

Hello Moderators:

I went to your main site, only minutes ago, and was warned by Norton Antivirus that an attack on my computer had been made by “Malicious Toolkit Website.” I had yet to login and this was the second time that the same website attacked me at the GirlsWithMuscle site within the last two weeks. Prior to that, for the last month, I have received malware and adware from GWM that you seem to allow for payola from dishonest and/or malicious websites.

I adore your site. It’s the best site of its kind ever conceived. Yes! … But what happened?!!

Of course, I realize that you need and want to make money to keep this vast wonderful site aloft but please don’t do it this way!!!

Interesting findings, thanks for continuing to follow up on this.

Unfortunately, I guess that the fact that the attacks are coming from multiple websites and multiple computers makes exterminating them that much more difficult . . .

Ive noticed that since I started disabling ads whenever I visit the website (I saved -> www.girlswithmuscle.com/myprofile/index.php?pagename=ads) I have not gotten a single virus or malware attack or alert.

@chinchin and WIHS2006

Thanks so much to both of you for responding. I was beginning to think that I was the only one here who was still experiencing malware problems on this site.**

I too disabled ads from the GWM site following chinchin’s link from earlier in this thread (I did it and to no avail! I’m still stuck here with malware attacks from this wonderful site). Evidently, for you and perhaps others, it’s worth a try:

@Chainer, owners/ moderaters:
Why cannot you provide us members with a safe-free site??? What is going on here? I did not used to have problems here. For that matter, I am a member of a few other sites that have more pictures and more members than the GWM site has; I have no malicious-ware problems with those sites.

Also, I'll make a point of it to enable ads here again once I feel safe here again. You guys do need the bucks. What a superb site you have developed!!!

Some may call this a conspiracy theory but I believe that anti-virus outfits like Norton and McAfee are responsible for a lot of the attacks. How else to stay in business than purposefully infecting your computer so that you feel you have to keep spending $ for the "latest" in anti-virus software >:(

Yes, I'm sure the advertising options are limited however necessary. But this stuff is bad for members' computers.

For the last few days I have logged-on to your main site before clicking on anything and have experienced no malware problems. Today, I typed-in my login information incorrectly and immediately received the malware attempt. Of course, that could be coincidental.

I sure hope you guys can resolve the malware problem. Your site is the best of its kind ever created!
