Fit model and wellness have been added in recent years. Is 7 divisions too many? And which one is your favorite?

This page is a good reference on each division's requirements and has some comparison photos between them.

Figure and Wellness are my favourites. Physique used to be my favourite back when Juliana Malacarne was winning, but now it's just fbb-lite (which I don't mind either. Love the big girls too!)

I am not sure either fitness because the posing is very cool and creative and shows off their strength. or bodybuilding because they are the biggest. wellness looks very sexy but lacking in bicep action

I love Wellness - FBB..

I used to like physique, but it's become like bodybuilding. Also, figure now is more like physique from few years ago. I love big muscular women, but some of them look too masculine

I like the figure/fitness look, but I voted for the fitness level as I really enjoy the strength displays. Thanks for the useful resource, @icerock.

I also think that its a good thing that there are many divisions so that there are more types of powerful bodies. I wish there were even more.

Bodybuilding division still rocks.

But the question still stands-

are too many divisions affecting the sport in general?

Figure division probably has the best balance between size and aesthetics. I like the bigger lower body development in Wellness. Having more divisions means more women get to compete, which is good. I do worry about the long term health risks for the Bodybuilding and Physique competitors, though.

Figure and wellness division.

In both the only problem is posing rules. Need more posing freedom, especially in the final rounds

I've been ssaying that for a while. Figure gals, particularly, shouuld be allowed to flex off and posedown in the last rounds. As for the Wellness ladies, 2 words: Quad Shaking.

Figure/Physique. Bodybuilding scratches an itch, but most of my favorites growing up weren’t exactly mass monsters.

Fit model was what bikini was size-wise about 5 years ago and some figure pros today could have beaten DLB when she won the physique Olympia. Bikini girls are headed toward Wellness to some degree. Little by little the divisions change. Just an observation, not a critique, good or bad.

Someone actually voted for Fit Model?

Believe it or not, even on this site there are people who love the fit look with the least amount of actual muscle size as possible because any more and they say they look like men.

Can't relate but to each their own!

I don't think there are too many. It is probably good for the business that they cast a wide net! I would not be nearly as interested to watch bikini, fit, or fitness as I would figure, wellness, physique or bodybuilding (in ascending order).

If I could add divisions willy nilly, I would add a classic bb division, and off season bb division, and a reverse-wellness, for those competitors whose upper body androgen receptors outperform their lower body ones to show us what they'd look like if they went all in on upper body.

Based on the results of this poll I think the next few years are going to be difficult for many respondents. Wellness and Bikini are the only categories with growth sad to say.

Figure and Physique are my favorites.

Bodybuilding is dead.....see Korableva.

Wellness and Fitmodel was so everybody could be a pro and get a trophy. All the fake BS in those categories. The hair flips, hand gestures, "sexy" walking and pageantry all topped with silicone tits and veneers. It's cringe to me......

Bikini still serves a purpose but see my comment above about fit model and everybody getting a trophy.

Korableva is Iris Kyle 2.0. If the judges continue to reward her physique, then women’s bodybuilding will die.

Figure and Physique for me. Wellness has silly and boring posing rules, even though Welness girls have been improving a lot lately. And as said above I would love to see the creation of an offseason bb division.

BB and Physique. I'd shitcan fit model and bikini and try and see if you get more girls into fitness, that's a fun division

My hunch? Because it's Figure with more acrobatics. Hard to focus on the physique when competitors are flipping around like Spider-Man.
