A difficult decision for her to make, but at least she gets to live a little longer. It's such a fine line that they tread when they go into extreme diet mode.

Health should always be #1. I enjoyed the journey while it lasted.

I blame the NPC and IFBB. Every feedback EVERY SINGLE TIME is you need to be bigger somewhere.

There does seem to be an imbalance of greed vs. safety or empathy for the athletes' health. I don't think I've ever seen a professional organization as apathetic as the IFBB or NPC when it comes to addressing the alarming death rate of their competitors. A lot of it takes advantage of the bodybuilder mindset which pushes them to the brink, and then they ask them to push even more.

It’s not the fault of the IFBB or anyone else but her. The judges kept telling her she was too big to be in Wellness but she wanted to be a mass monster, she said. At the time of her illness she was in the middle of claiming to no longer take anabolics, which I never believed. I’m glad she’s okay though. Wouldn’t wish anything bad on her.
