Thank you guys for this wonderful website! I'd like to contribute through some feature suggestions.
I imagine that the mod(s) currently have the following pain points (sorry if I'm wrong):
Mod's Pain Points(?)
Getting constant complaints about some tags being misused
Getting requests/questions regarding tags that seem oblivious to past/ongoing discussions
Tag topics scattered across site (merge/split request threads, random individual threads etc.), making them hard to track
I think one root cause is that we still don't have a centralized way to jump from a tag to its discussions, or at least instantly know the tag in question is/was under controversy. Oftentimes users just don't know the tags they're editing should be handled carefully because their usage is under debate, or has been at some point. I myself have unwittingly messed with tags that are under debate, making the situation worse.
Suggestions
Tag debate indicators (Easier, addresses 1, 2): Mod(s), upon noticing some tags are under debate, mark them as "controversial." Such tag names are shown with some icon like an exclamation mark, so every time a user wants to add/edit such a tag they will know. It would be a plus if the user can jump to the location of the discussion by clicking on the icon.
Tag wiki (Harder, addresses 1, 2, 3): A generalization of "tag debate indicators." Each tag has an article explaining the intentions/current consensus of the usage of the tag (edited by mod(s), or all users?), and a discussion thread. This might be tricky because migrating old discussions to per-tag pages is a nontrivial task.
I'm fully aware the mod(s) have priorities; I just hope these thoughts spark a bit of inspiration for future consideration.

My apologies for the novel, love you guys.
