Tag parent/child suggestions

Thread to suggest tag parent/child relationships. Announcement here: New tag hierarchy system

If you have multiple at once, please format it as a comma-separated list, without quotes, which helps us copy-paste it into the UI. For example:

Add children of north american: american, canadian, mexican

Note that model-level tags can only be parents/children of other model level tags (and the same goes for regular tags).

Add children of body comparison: female body comparison, male body comparison, transformation/progress

Add children of female body comparison: bigger than her, taller than her, stronger than her

Add children of male body comparison: bigger than him, taller than him, stronger than him, smaller than him

Done.

(The search results may take a few hours to update, since I did a lot of these recently, and it's pretty resource intensive. Similarly, notifications will be delayed during this time.)

Yes, if those existed...

The only tag with "shorter" is "shorter but bigger".

So: Child of body comparison: shorter but bigger

Not sure I agree with this one.

I see what you’re trying to do with the child tags, but the structure doesn’t line up with how these categories actually work. “Latina” is an identity label tied to culture, language, and self-identification. “North/Central American” is a regional term. “Mexican, Guatemalan, Honduran…” are national origins. Because they represent different types of information, stacking them in a single chain changes what each tag actually means.

Like Black or White, the Latina tag is when the individual or context actually uses that identity, not automatically because of national or geographical origin.

I've removed belly roll, belly-dance, and nauli from the child tags of abs.

These are closely related but not exactly the same. Girls without visible abs can do these things.

For a tag to be a child tag of another, it should be the case that every instance of the child tag, by definition, is also an instance of the parent tag.

That said, maybe there should be a hierarchy between these three tags. Like nauli and belly roll are child tags of belly dance? Not sure.

Edit: also abs vacuum

Many women of the abovementioned countries don't identify as "Latina" or pass off as such. It's one of those tags that can't just be applied with a broad brush.

Yeah I think I agree with not making Latina the parent of all those.

Add children of small waist/tiny waist: abs vacuum

Edit: I posted the above prior to reading Chainer's post.

My reasoning was that my understanding of the purpose in doing abs vacuum is to strengthen particular muscles that contribute to shrinking the waistline. I think that while it has similar parallels to the belly dance children, those are performative while abs vacuum are looks-maxxing exercises.

That's my understanding at least. I'm sure there are others here far more knowledgeable about abs vacuum than me.

Fair, the logic I used was that the Iberian Americas are identified as “Latin America” and while people within may not identify as Latino, to the rest of the world they’re considered as such. I also respect the hesitation because Latino is an ethnicity rather than a race, and people tend to squabble endlessly over who is and isn’t Latino when it’s such a broad category. Would making the nationalities child tags of their geographic regions rather than their primary demographic work instead?

Like this:

Central American (Guatemalan, Honduran, Costa Rican, Salvadoran, Panamanian)

Caribbean (Puerto Rican, Dominican, Cuban, Jamaican, Haitian)

South American (Colombian, Ecuadorian, Peruvian, Argentinian, Bolivian, Brazilian, Chilean, Paraguayan, Venezuelan, uruguayan)

Maybe these should be children of “muscle control”? At least belly roll and nauli could be. Another possibility is to make these children of flexing or some other tag that suggests movement

Done. I don't think "flexing" is right though, they don't seem to be a flex in the regular sense.

I don't know enough about abs vacuum, does it necessarily involve having a small waist? For example this is tagged with it and she doesn't have a particularly small waist:

Or is that just mistagged?

We need less tags

We need less tags

Ironically the suggestion that we would need less of something would require more elaboration.

Or were you being facetious?
