^^ You're totally within your rights to dislike South Park, and honestly, I'm not really a fan either.
But the way that people get butthurt on Donald Trump's behalf is bizarre.
Like... the man clearly only loves himself, his money, his daughter, and people who kiss his ass. He doesn't even have a functional relationship with his wife.
Donald Trump wouldn't p**s on you if you were on fire, and you'd have to be absolutely delusional to think the opposite. He has sold out every friend and accomplice so far. The list is enormous!
So nobody has to be white knighting for Donald Trump. Just dislike the show and refuse to watch it and move on.
You can't stop inserting your personal opinion of Donald Trump into a debate about whether the humor of a show crossed the line. It's like you think that your hatred of him validates any over the line humor. Do you not see the irony in that? No one is butthurt about Trump being made fun of. I've said many times that Mr Garrison being president in the first term was hilarious. Recent episodes cross the line, that's all there is to it.
Couple things:
1) countless people are butthurt about South Park’s portrayal of Trump
2) because they think it’s crass and profane. And it is.
3) but Trump himself is a crass, profane, lying and thieving bully who preys on women and stabs his allies in the back. He’s presently screwing over his working class supporters and lying to their faces over it as well.
4) A television series being disgusting is not the same as the literal most powerful elected man in the United States being disgusting.
5) yes I hate Trump. Not because “orange man bad,” or I love Biden or Harris or Gavin or whoever.
But because he is a hateful, lying disgrace.
If you don’t see that, then give it a few months. More and more of your side is coming over to my way of thinking with each passing day.
That is the weirdest thing I have read on the thread yet. Satire scales? No one is saying that South park didn't make fun of Obama. But it wasn't the same. They made fun of him by having Mr Garrison be him in the first term, and it was completely fine and very funny. Especially the witch episode or having Jenner run over people with a car. What was happening in recent episodes was completely unacceptable. They even used live action and not animation to show him rolling around in the desert with in nothing but underwear. It's trash humor. Nothing more.
To be fair, Parker and Stone have a lot more material to work with on Trump than they did on Obama. They don't even really have to try hard.
Precisely.
Mr.Trump really does his best to get as much attention as he can, and attention he gets.... As a true Christian he should take an example of Jesus, who after being featured all those years in South Park, didn't complain even once!
I noticed you still called Trump "Mr". Lol
I love the facetious humor here.
south park days are past and they are now pathetically trying to remain relevant by pandering to TDS suffering commies. the sad fate of all gen X poseur types
It's one thing to attack an idea or harshly criticize a public figure, but now you've escalated to ad hominem attacks on regular viewers of show, including those in this thread with "commies". Unless you can cite forum posts where users here have self identified as "Communists", you should probably refrain from using it.

This show is close to evil itself. I watched 15 minutes of it 2 different times and I'd say it is built for the clueless. I find nothing about it funny. Beavis and Butthead is not as bad as this show. That is my feeling and it is a strong one. The fact that they talked about Jesus on a show like that shows how evil it really is. Be careful folks.
To unironically say this after the post by fbbnuts is a marvelous juxtaposition.
If you don't already inherently grasp that satire scales, no amount of me explaining it to you or citing credible sources will make any difference.
You just keep regurgitating the same tired, debunked arguments and clearly have nothing substantive to add.
Now you're saying AI is live action. Dude, I emplore you to stop watching the show, stop engaging with this thread, and remove yourself from whatever MAGA feedback-loop bubbles you're in. You are overreacting and need to step away and take a breather.
I am not taking this personally, and I think your answer is the height of smug arrogance. Your comment is dripping with condescension.
What difference does it make that Trump in the desert was AI or not? What's wrong with you?
And you saying something is "debunked", doesn't really mean anyone debunked it. I don't fall for stupid little traps like that. I don't even think you know what the word debunked really means.
Also, I've now been given a good reason to continue to "engage in this thread".
It's unfortunate that you see me choosing compassion instead of hostility and view it as "the height of smug arrogance" and "dripping with condescension".
You say you aren't "taking this personally", but your entire reply says otherwise.

Wow you are angry. No one is changing their minds on trump.
Wow you are angry. No one is changing their minds on trump.
Mmhmm keep telling yourself that. It’s just Tucker Carlson and MTG or his fallen approval rating across Americans of all political affiliations that you need to consider. It's going to get a lot worse for him.
Every single rational person who doesn’t have a net worth of over $10 million should be absolutely furious at the Trump administration right now.
Look, I'm not bragging, but I'm in my 50s and I've done very well financially compared to most Americans. I had a lot in the stock market, and the recent crazy AI and Tesla bubble meant that I earned more money passively - doing nothing - in the past two years than most Americans earned working full time jobs in the past 10 years. It's ridiculous. And my wealth is nothing compared to someone with a net worth in the hundreds of millions or more, of which there's plenty of Americans.
I should be happy right? Wrong.
I'm heavily involved in bodybuilding, which is filled with lots of blue collar and working class people. I see how badly they're struggling with housing and bills and life necessities, and it breaks my heart. I hate talking to the middle aged people who work at the front, knowing that they put in 40 hours a week but have to be worried about losing their apartment. A small car accident could devastate them financially.
This country is so incredibly wealthy and none of this is necessary.
Trump didn't create this problem and he's not solely responsible for it. But he did promise to fix it.
And he has done the exact opposite. He's made the economy worse in this country in nearly every single metric. If you disagree, then post something economic that has improved for the average american over the past year. Trump and the oligarchs are stealing the economic future of the working class and the middle class, and he's laughing at the golf course or in his new $300 million ballroom as he does it.

Muscles_Toez & real_iluvmuscle, stop hijacking the thread.
If this was a thread about biceps, you wouldn't be talking about calves, and you certainly wouldn't be talking about politics.
South Park is a TV show. This is an entertainment topic.
While South Park is politics-adjacent being satire, you've both entirely abandoned any semblance of relevance to the tv show.
Start your own thread dedicated specifically to politics. This isn't the place.
Discussions (perhaps not in this topic as stated by phenoms) are fine but start to take a different coarse when people forget to include the words "I think or its my opinion that" when they state something that's not a fact but a personal view on things. But that's merely my personal view on that subject.
As for South Park Its great, or I think its great and I think it shouldn't be taken to seriously. I also think that they seem to put their finger on a lot of sore spots in an non-orthodox way.
Mmhmm keep telling yourself that. It’s just Tucker Carlson and MTG or his fallen approval rating across Americans of all political affiliations that you need to consider. It's going to get a lot worse for him.

The economy is not worse in "every single metric". You just make things up and expect people to buy it. You don't know what you're talking about. And I highlighted your ludicrous statement, which is dripping with so much anger and bias, that I'm not going to bother responding.
Start your own thread dedicated specifically to politics. This isn't the place.
No thanks. You're the one who started this stupid thread. Don't act like this wasn't your motive. You suck at gaslighting anyway.
Same thing when you started that idiotic White House thread. This is your M.O. You start a thread over stupid bullshit, and then when somebody says "that's bullshit", you call them angry or triggered. It is very transparent. So I don't really need a lecture from the likes of you.
@phenoms: the title of your thread literally says "Trump's 2nd Term." You'd be a fool to think that people won't discuss the most controversial man in the history of global politics when you mention him in the title.
@real_iluvmuscle: the economy is worse in every single metric except the stock market and the GDP. We are in an informal recession. Affordability is in crisis. Inflation is persistent. Job losses are through the roof and sustainable employment is dropping.
The stock market and the GDP are up, that's true. But that's largely driven by seven AI-related firms pumping billions of dollars into each other. Don't just take my word for it:
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/11/22/business/t...
http://am.jpmorgan.com/us/en/asset-management...
As I wrote, I'm in a fairly privileged financial state, and my peers are happier than ever. An initial investment of $10 million, split equally among the five original FAANG stocks in early 2018 and held until today (December 2025), would be worth approximately $38.85 million, representing a total gain of nearly 290%.
$28 million divided by 7 years is $4 million a year. That's passive income, invested in simple retail stocks.
You can see how this is amazing for people with a lot of capital invested. It's literally a golden age. I should be enjoying it and laughing along with my peers, but I'm heartbroken for all of the Americans around me who struggle to make ends meet.
How does it feel for you? Did you earn any millions in the past few years? I'm not saying that Biden did any better, he really didn't.
But Trump promised change, he promised to champion the working class, and he's only made it worse. As I said, you can't quote a single metric that has improved for the working class since he took over. Even things like cheaper gas are easily offset by the enormous increase in medical, home, and auto insurance.
He's a disaster.
Every single rational person who doesn’t have a net worth of over $10 million should be absolutely furious at the Trump administration right now.

I stated my motive near the beginning of both threads and further reinforced my motive in both threads by repeatedly seeking to redirect back to the topic. Your insinuations don't align with the facts. You keep trying to paint me as a Boogie Man, but that's entirely a you thing. Stop projecting your own biases, hostility, and anger onto me. Despite your unfounded accusations and abusive language, I have remained civil.
To repeat, you're being hyperbolically angry. I'm not a windmill, and you aren't Don Quixote.
Fact: The Whitehouse East Wing thread cited the history of the Whitehouse and I specifically drew parallels of prior renovations with the current renovation to reassure people that are upset about the current renovation.
Since you thought it was an "idiotic" thread with a "bullshit" premise, it logically follows that either you're one of the people very upset about the current renovation, or you didn't bother to read anything I actually wrote in the thread about the topic. Either way, you just walked yourself into a logic trap.
Fact: This South Park thread is specifically about South Park and entertainment. It began with a title dedicated to one episode, and once I realized that was inadequate, I updated the title to be more inclusive of South Park as a general topic. The show is in it's 28th season, there's plenty of material to discuss. I specifically made the new title South Park (episodes) v. Trump's 2nd Term. As in, the tv show is airing episodes satirizing Trump's 2nd Term, and here's a place to discuss those episodes and the broader topic of South Park.
Fact: As stated, I've repeatedly tried to to redirect both threads back to their topic. Sometimes by simply furthering the topic in a reply, sometimes explicitly saying my aim was redirecting back to the topic and then furthering it, and now, as you acknowledged in direct reply, I unequivocally told you that you're hijacking the thread and to start your own.
I restated that just above in this reply, and now I'm restating it again, which makes three times:
real_iluvmuscle, stop hijacking the thread.
If this was a thread about biceps, you wouldn't be talking about calves, and you certainly wouldn't be talking about politics.

You want my "M.O."? I just spelled it out for you in plain English and the two threads you referenced (the Whitehouse East Wing thread and this thread) are my receipts.
@phenoms: the title of your thread literally says "Trump's 2nd Term." You'd be a fool to think that people won't discuss the most controversial man in the history of global politics when you mention him in the title.
I'm very well aware that people are going to practice poor thread discipline in general. That's not an argument for overlooking when people hijack a thread.
You're cherry picking the end of the title. The full title explicitly places South Park as the central theme, and as the OP, I'm reinforcing that.
I'll use a more concrete example of my biceps/calves analogy:
If I started a thread titled "Jill Diorio's got beautiful biceps", then elaborated in my opening post and attached this image to illustrate my points...
It's the equivalent of you hijacking the thread to talk about her calves and when I say something to you about it, you respond by telling me: "You'd be a fool to think that people won't discuss the most incredible fbb calves in the history of female bodybuilding when you mention her in the title."
That's not a valid point no matter how much you dislike Trump, his policies, his administration, or like/dislike Jill Diorio's biceps/calves. The fact remains, you're hijacking this thread. You know that's not appropriate in other threads, and it's not appropriate here.
@real_iluvmuscle: the economy is worse in every single metric except the stock market and the GDP. We are in an informal recession. Affordability is in crisis. Inflation is persistent. Job losses are through the roof and sustainable employment is dropping.

While I can appreciate and agree with your arguments here, I have already unequivocally told you that you're hijacking the thread and now you're continuing to do so. There's nothing preventing you from starting your own thread to continue this topic. It has no relationship to South Park and this isn't the place for it.
As I did with real_iluvmuscle, I'll restate to you as well:
Muscles_Toez, stop hijacking the thread.
