But the way that people get butthurt on Donald Trump's behalf is bizarre.

You can't stop inserting your personal opinion of Donald Trump into a debate about whether the humor of a show crossed the line. It's like you think that your hatred of him validates any over the line humor. Do you not see the irony in that? No one is butthurt about Trump being made fun of. I've said many times that Mr Garrison being president in the first term was hilarious. Recent episodes cross the line, that's all there is to it.
Couple things:
1) countless people are butthurt about South Park’s portrayal of Trump
2) because they think it’s crass and profane. And it is.
3) but Trump himself is a crass, profane, lying and thieving bully who preys on women and stabs his allies in the back. He’s presently screwing over his working class supporters and lying to their faces over it as well.
4) A television series being disgusting is not the same as the literal most powerful elected man in the United States being disgusting.

That is the weirdest thing I have read on the thread yet. Satire scales? No one is saying that South park didn't make fun of Obama. But it wasn't the same. They made fun of him by having Mr Garrison be him in the first term, and it was completely fine and very funny. Especially the witch episode or having Jenner run over people with a car. What was happening in recent episodes was completely unacceptable. They even used live action and not animation to show him rolling around in the desert with in nothing but underwear. It's trash humor. Nothing more.
To be fair, Parker and Stone have a lot more material to work with on Trump than they did on Obama. They don't even really have to try hard.

This show is close to evil itself. I watched 15 minutes of it 2 different times and I'd say it is built for the clueless. I find nothing about it funny. Beavis and Butthead is not as bad as this show. That is my feeling and it is a strong one. The fact that they talked about Jesus on a show like that shows how evil it really is. Be careful folks.

It's ridiculous. And my wealth is nothing compared to someone with a net worth in the hundreds of millions or more, of which there's plenty of Americans.
I should be happy right? Wrong.
I'm heavily involved in bodybuilding, which is filled with lots of blue collar and working class people. I see how badly they're struggling with housing and bills and life necessities, and it breaks my heart. I hate talking to the middle aged people who work at the front, knowing that they put in 40 hours a week but have to be worried about losing their apartment. A small car accident could devastate them financially.
This country is so incredibly wealthy and none of this is necessary.
Trump didn't create this problem and he's not solely responsible for it. But he did promise to fix it.
And he has done the exact opposite. He's made the economy worse in this country in nearly every single metric. If you disagree, then post something economic that has improved for the average american over the past year. Trump and the oligarchs are stealing the economic future of the working class and the middle class, and he's laughing at the golf course or in his new $300 million ballroom as he does it.

An initial investment of $10 million, split equally among the five original FAANG stocks in early 2018 and held until today (December 2025), would be worth approximately $38.85 million, representing a total gain of nearly 290%.
$28 million divided by 7 years is $4 million a year. That's passive income, invested in simple retail stocks.
You can see how this is amazing for people with a lot of capital invested. It's literally a golden age. I should be enjoying it and laughing along with my peers, but I'm heartbroken for all of the Americans around me who struggle to make ends meet.

Fact: The Whitehouse East Wing thread cited the history of the Whitehouse and I specifically drew parallels of prior renovations with the current renovation to reassure people that are upset about the current renovation.

It began with a title dedicated to one episode, and once I realized that was inadequate, I updated the title to be more inclusive of South Park as a general topic. The show is in it's 28th season, there's plenty of material to discuss. I specifically made the new title South Park (episodes) v. Trump's 2nd Term. As in, the tv show is airing episodes satirizing Trump's 2nd Term, and here's a place to discuss those episodes and the broader topic of South Park.
Fact: As stated, I've repeatedly tried to to redirect both threads back to their topic. I'm very well aware that people are going to practice poor thread discipline in general. That's not an argument for overlooking when people hijack a thread.
You're cherry picking the end of the title. The full title explicitly places South Park as the central theme, and as the OP, I'm reinforcing that.
