Is it possible to meet contestants at a fitness competition?

Is it possible to meet contestants at a fitness competition before or after the competition as just a fan? I was hoping to meet them, talk to them, take pictures with them, etc.

I imagine so. If you look at your pictures and notice you had a boner, though, you should probably not do that.

Helpful.

Avoid divulging your screen name here to them.

Usually yes. Just ask respectfully.

Look, these women are all well aware that basically all male fans are there because they find them hot.

And like why not? It’s essentially a beauty pageant for ripped and oiled women wearing a ton of makeup and almost no clothing.

OF COURSE men go because they’re turned on by this.

My advice: be a real fan. By a ticket for the show, cheer for the girls, pay attention to what happens, give them compliments and ask for a photo together afterwards. If you’re polite and authentic, they’ll be happy to meet you.

Full disclosure - I'm so turned on by fitness women I couldn’t hide my boner.

Do you lift? It helps a lot if you have a background in lifting/training so that you have common points of conversation you can talk about.

Yes! This is great advice. To add to this, please don’t approach them if you see them getting photographed by a professional or if they’re resting before they take the stage.

Just to reiterate: it's okay to be a fan. It's okay to be a schmoe at a bodybuilding event.

At the Olympia last year I saw too many girls to list: Fafa fitness, Angie Yao, Kristina Mendoza, Chelsea Dion, Paige Sandgren, Hunter Henderson, BrandiMae, Brooke Walker ... like everyone. Lots of male pros too.

As Loozer said, if they're walking around and not currently engaged in something, then most of them want to meet fans. They want to get compliments. This is their day to shine.

You can praise them and tell you that you admire them and say hello and ask for a pic. Don't be too creepy, don't overstay your welcome, and for the love of god buy a package of breath mints beforehand.

Honestly, I wish that all you guys on this site would do this. Female bodybuilding would be huge if more of us would support them in person. It's an amazing experience.

If there’s an expo attached to the show or if there’s a large enough venue, there should be exhibitor booths for the sponsors and that’s a great way to meet athletes since many of them are also sponsored by the supplement companies. When I met Alessandra Alvez at the Olympia it was when she was at a booth.

If you go to the Olympia and buy the MVP package they have a meet and greet the day before. They all have their own tables set up and have free pictures they will sign for you. You can also take pictures with them.
