Who has tried steroids themselves?

I haven't, but I wanna ask the people that answered "yes", how much money do you need to spend on it? Like, how much would you spend on an average cycle?

How do you keep from shooting yourself up into an early grave? The only reason I'm remotely reluctant to marry an FBB is because I don't want my sexy, muscular lady love (whoever she is) dying fifty to sixty years ahead of schedule.

I've used steroids many times in my life. Doctors prescribe them for various things.

^ I think you're making a joke but medical steroids aka corticosteroids isn't the same as anabolic steroids. Some years back a doctor gave me corticosteroids due to having pneumonia that I couldn't shake off.

Lots of good advice here. I'm as serious amateur BB and could be going for a Masters pro show next year. Been of and on steroids for about 10 years, but more seriously lately. I'll keep it short:

1) Steroids are a waste if your training, diet, and sleep isn't on point. You don't have to be the hardest working in the gym, but you need to get enough calories and protein to support the muscle growth that you want. All the test in the world can't make muscles if you don't eat the raw materials for them. SO MANY PEOPLE FORGET THIS.

2) If you just want bigger muscles, a stronger body, and more libido, then go to a physical or an online TRT clinic. Supplemental prescribed testosterone is more than enough for most people and will already give you a superior physique to any natty guy. You can manage your levels and you know where the stuff is coming from.

3) If you want to win a proper competition, yeah, you're going to need more than that. But one step at a time. No one should jump on a ton of gear before trying some simple test shots from a clinic.

4) Steroids can be very safe if used responsibly. Yes, a sad amount of people die from bodybuilding every year. It's an extreme sport. The VAST majority of bodybuilders (as in, everyone who doesn't die) is using steroids in a non-fatal way. It's very possible to manage their use and limit their impact.

If more muscular women were willing to give less muscular men a chance, men wouldn't be so willing to play Steroid Russian Roulette.

"She's doesn't care I'm getting into shape! She's not going to like me, let alone love me unless I'm more muscular than she! I gotta muscle up fast! FAST!!"

I'm not putting the whole blame on women, of course. But women's eagerness to throw men less powerful and muscular than themselves into the garbage incinerator isn't helping matters, either. It's making things worse, not better.

Excellent advice.

Getting your basics right first and maximising your natural ceiling BEFORE hopping on anything synthetic is highly recommended. :-)

I don't think it is the women's fault here mate.

Genetic presdisposition for healthy mates will swing women, FBB or no, toward mesomorph (yes I know somatypes are rubbish) built men.

Personality always counts BUT looks is mostpy what first attracts a partner.

Why did the chicken with pneumonia cross the road?

To visit his dealer, buy oxandralone and get jacked.

I know my response is going to get modded away from here. So, I've already done it myself. Check it out: https://www.girlswithmuscle.com/comment/3370064/

Oh yeah?

Concern for her early demise is the only thing stopping you from marrying a female bodybuilder right now?

That's it? Otherwise they'd just be lined up to tie the knot?

Depends on your level.

The poster guy for TRT is RFK Jr. He's 71 years and looks honestly amazing. He might be using some growth hormone, but I think his cycles are pretty much all MD-prescribed testosterone. Look up a shirtless photo of him to get an idea.

Now, let's say you're aged 30 to 50ish. If you're taking the same gear as RFK and training/eating as well as him, you're probably going to look even better. You won't win a bodybuilding competition, but you can absolutely be one of the very jacked guys in the gym, and the kind of guy who gets looks and comments on the street when you wear tank top.

That level? Runs about $300 to $500 a month depending on where you get it from. The price has been steadily going down as more players enter the game. If you have legit hypogonadism then it can be covered by insurance.

I'm going above and beyond that, so closer to $600 a month for my supps. Plenty of male pros will spend over $1K. Women tend to spend less on gear but then way more on body maintenance like botox.

About £300 GBP for a 20 week blast on about a gram a week of test plus eq.
