Photos with kids: why it's allowed???

I mean... the reasons are many to not uploading photos with babes/kids. You all know that many of us use this space for dirty things, so why still are allowed photos with kids? I find it unacceptable for users to post photos/videos with children. I just discovered a new athlete who is a mother and I had the minimum common sense to not upload absolutely any photos of her with her daughter. Why can't other users do the same? I had already questioned another photo of Nadia with her daughter in a comment here, but unfortunately my comments were classified with "too little substance".

In fact, it is something that has been happening more frequently, so I wasn't "performative", because it is something that needs to be reminded frequently to users how strictly prohibited this is, but I will not prolong the issue. In any case, I am more relaxed that this is in the rules and I will report it whenever I see a case like this. Once again, I appreciate the feedback.

If it is happening more frequently it is likely because the number of uploaders has increased and thus the percentage of uploads that don’t respect the rules. This is why image reports are so important and are appreciated.

Do remember that the mods are all volunteers, doing this in their free time.

I thought this too. Had assumed it was allowed since I sometimes would come across those images, new and old. A few had the common sense enough to either crop or blot out the children. Probably best not to post them at all though.

Now that I know its not allowed, I will report it if I see it.

"no minors, under 18" has been an uploading rule for ages. That includes "coincidental" images of children, not just eg a fit but too young gymnast etc . Just use the report button as and when you spot. There's likely a few older pics that have been missed.

Yeah, most people seem incapable of cropping a jpg to png which would improve many pics. Instead they add the lazily overused "body comparison" tag.

I don't see what the issue is with guys posing with them. Female bodybuilders often are friends with, and date, male bodybuilders, so it's not uncommon for them to pose together. It's a MUCH different thing than kids in pictures, which should not be on the site.

I agree kids should not be in pictures posted to this site with female bodybuilders or fitness models. I understand the ladies want to include their kids or cousins, whoever, but keep those private

Under 18s (termed minors) are NOT allowed and we ask any images found with them to be reported.

We are volunteer mods and don't have an all seeing power that allows us to guess at every single piece of content uploaded at any given moment. Crying about a problematic piece of content without communicating this to the mods is just a waste of energy and really doesn't help getting things resolved.

I actually restored that one, it's one thing if a child is front and center in the pic but this is a case which is fully in public and the minors are incidental and non-central (by which I mean, in the background or the audience).

I'm all for this, but if this is the case, we should probably take down the "mother" tag as it's pointless. At least half the women here are probably mother's so it's a moot point to make a "mother" tag.

A woman can be a parent without having their child in the photo. As for mother & son and mother & daughter, then they work as long as the child is over 18. Any depicted person should be above 18.

Ok, well let's put "cousin", "niece", "firefighter", and "US postal service worker" in the tags then since they could be all that without all that being mentioned in the photo. What does it matter????? I think it's disgraceful to the families to just have a tag as "mother". Like I said before, half of these women are probably mothers, there's no need. Kind of like the tag "Black". Duh. We see that.
