You're missing The Who and The Kinks
Love Kinks. I thought Ray Davies' lyrics were brilliant. He really was a genius at songwriting. Although many of the songs are about Britain, they are universal social critiques. I heard that the band was very, very famous in England, almost like “the beatles”, and that this success didn't have the same repercussions abroad. I don't understand why.
How many of the users have seen the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, the Doors and Black Sabbath planning live?
I am pleased to say that I saw the Beatles live at Carnegie Hall, back in 1964, when they first stormed America.
And I mean it when I say I SAW them as opposed to HEARD them, as the girls were screaming so loud!
Some folk act opened for the Fab Four and went on -- and on.
Finally, the audience applauded tremendously at the folk act's last number, but it was a "good, these guys are finished; let's have the Beatles!" statement.
Unfortunately, the folk group apparently mistook this as a request for an encore and came back to do another number. YOU HAVE NEVER HEARD AN AUDIENCE GET SO QUIET, AND APPLAUD SO QUIETLY AT THE END OF THE SONG SO WE WOULDN'T BE MISINTERPRETED A SECOND TIME!!!
FINALLY -- the Beatles came on, and pandemonium ensued. They routinely did just a 25-minute set in those days, BUT IT WAS THE MOST INTENSE 25 MINUTES I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.
Obviously, this was one of the most remarkable concerts I've ever attended. And yes, I fibbed before -- we could just barely hear the Beatles over the din, through their little Vox amps, and they were amazing. One of the hardest-rocking rock & roll bands of all time, a distinction for which they don't get sufficient credit!

I didn't realize "favorite" meant top 100 😂

It's one of the things I regret in life, not being born early enough to have experienced these bands in their prime (and back when you didn't have to save up for 6 months to buy a ticket).
Do any of you listen to "the osees" ? I'm addicted mainly in the compilation of the songs "night expo, chem farmer".
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble! (write-in)
I second this write in. SRV was the most talented live musician I have ever seen.

Glad I'm not the only SRV fan here. Unfortunately, I didn't get to know his music until after he was killed. Thankfully, there is still a fair amount of SRV live on Youtube. I did get to see his brother Jimmy live. Got to meet him, too. Great guy. :)
Amen. Blackmore! :)
