It would be great to have some competition, that factors in all of that, maybe even the size flexed, and flexed vs unflexed. Someting like the "queen of biceps" contest.
On the Best Biceps contest i won last year There Was 6 rounds to evaluate the quality of the Muscles
1 : Measurements size unflexed, flexed and expansion
2 : Shape and Symmetry flexed and unflexed
3 : Hardness of the Muscles on multiple preasure pionts and Muscles tonus flexed and unflexed, also hardness diference at flex
4 : Stength test 1/2 body weight barbell 1/4 body weight dumbbbel both at curl pult and chinup ungergrip body weight. 3 reps for Pass test 5 reps for complete test and Bonus for strength Reserves
5 : Single posing called poses hold static until command to Release
6 : comparsion posing 3 girls called out in multiple comparsion variations Poses static for 5 to 10 Seconds first 3 rounds . Last 3 rounds posedown 2 girls called poses static flex till command to release

The long static holds of flex was not only for have enough time to compare the muscles it also was to evaluate the ability for keep muscles on static tension without muscle tremors or in bad cases flex releases . So a flex intesnsity need to be chosen that the bicep comes out best and no waste of energy or getting a muscle cramp . For me about 70 to 75 % intensity at bicep flex is the best chiose .
For evaluate the hardness all 5 Judges needed to feel multiple preasure points on each bicep
Flexed bicep preasure points on left and right bicep
1 two finges on top of the peak 2 on top of the peak forearm side 3 and 3 shoulder side 4 two fingers on front of the peak side middle 5 two fingers on front of the peak rear middle
two fingers at the side of the peak 6 : ond top front veiw 7 : on top rear view 8 : on ellbow side front veiw 9 : on shoulder side rear view
10 : 4 fingers over the wole peak on top 11 : 4 fingers over the whole peak on front view side 12 : 4 fingers over the whole peak rear view side 13 : two fingers squeeze peak fom forn at rear view sides on top of the peak 14 : two fingers squeeze peak fom forn at rear view sides elbow 15 : two fingers squeeze peak fom forn at rear view sides shoulder

A part of a contest at my home in Belgium first serious i did
Did bicep contest at FIBO too but this was more a fun contest , only serious was take measurements by helper girls and announce the results by the host
No regular posing , the posing was show free single and double bicep poses while walk for show of over stage and turn around a few times , Flex a few times while the host is talking about the comptitor
no strength test just get asked about the lifts by the host no real hardness check the host just touches and grip the competitors flexed biceps left and right and at flexing a few times and talk about what it feels like Vote is normally by audience applause and cheers . The louder the crowd is the better the vote and normally there are 2 or 3 winners This is the way most EXPO bicep shows work A big fun but nice prices but no real competition Did some of this and had a lot of fun
Excellent.
Will the contest in Belgium be repeated at some point, or was this a one off thing. Think I would even travell in to watch this.
Btw: those sort of events at the expos I know: measuring size, armwrestling, strict curls - sort of small side shows to the main event, for entertainment only. But nothing ever like the one you mentioned taking place in Belgium.
I hope this was not just one of the programm filling extravaganzas between the regular competitions . There are often shows like this I was there as coach for one of my girls first contest and noticed that there was start places left at extravaganza competitions and decidet to take place there . I had a competition bikini ready makeup and all other needed material from my competitor girl and was still in shape from other competition before so i took the chance
Did not expect that this works this professionl level

Contest in short overview

My congratulations, beautiful post
Its also interesting how much focus is on heavy biceps curls when it comes to biceps strength. There are so many ways to do biceps curls, that its almost impossible to compare.
There is an exercise that was in fashion for a while that was called "21s". It was 7 reps on the lower half of a biceps curl, 7 reps on the upper part of biceps curls, and 7 reps over the full range. Reason behind it is, that the curls tackle different parts of the biceps at different angles.
Then there is strict biceps curl contest. The weights there are incredible lower as if you can curl with your whole body.
Another way to look at it would be isometric exercise: holding a weight with the biceps ratrher than lifting it.
Then again another way would be the strength to expand a biceps (chain breaking, lifting weight with the expanding biceps itself).
It would be great to have some competition, that factors in all of that, maybe even the size flexed, and flexed vs unflexed. Someting like the "queen of biceps" contest.
