Podcasts about “this side” of female bodybuilding

Apr 21, 2023 - permalink

Hey all. There are a lot of podcasts out there about women in strength sports covering topics like training, nutrition, show prep, industry news and the like. But what about podcasts about this corner of the industry? Are there podcasts that cover those of us who are attracted to buff women, or muscular women who do fetish work/session wrestle?

And what would you like to see in a podcast like that?

Apr 21, 2023 - permalink

Honestly, I would, lol. I think Molly Stewart covered it on one or two of her Podcast episodes, but her Podcast is more on the Adult Industry in general.

Never heard of her podcast, but I saw the two episodes that you are referring to (one with Ariel Rose, and the other with Kortney Olson.)

I am wondering if there are podcasts that focus and specialize in this little corner of the world. Maybe even have some of us discuss it on said show.

The closest thing I can think of to what you're asking for is "D.D. on the Spot." He posts videos on youtube, but I think the bulk of his content is posted to a patreon page. I haven't tried watching his videos in a couple of years, but I do remember thinking that he's not exactly the greatest interviewer ever... Maybe he's gotten better though.

Awhile ago I posted about not being a fan of him and he actually responded to that thread! I don’t currently regularly watch his show, but I have caught some pieces here and there and I can say he has gotten better. I think he is good at what he does, though personally (and this is just me,) it’s not really what I’m looking for.

But, kind of on that topic, I also tried giving a session wrestling (so not specifically muscular women but some were on the show) podcast called After Hours hosted by “D Rock” a shot. I think that show is TERRIBLE, though

He hasn’t. He seems like a super nice guy and all. But just a horrible interviewer.

I'm afraid I agree. He uses the same questions for EVERY interview, and delivers them parrot fashion in the dullest way possible.

I can't in all honesty fault anything about his interviews because I would spend most of my time stepping on my tongue. I've always wondered...HOW on earth these photographers and videographers do their craft without trembling hands. Are they into female muscle or are they just into their craft? Watching these women up close...I would be a pile of jello with my knees knocking.

hey all this is Ryan from DD on the spot. I was informed about this thread by someone and thought I would chime in with a few things: 1. trust me I know I am not the best interviewer 2. I use the same questions every FIRST time a guest is on. when you have a 9 to 5 job and have other obligations you have little time to do research and the vast majority of guests prefer it because they know what they are gonna be asked because believe it or not a lot of them are nervous. 3. The dull parrot fashion is again by design and its to make the guests as comfortable as possible which is something I believe a lot of people forget when interacting with these women is to be over the top nice and kind to the point of dull because that will make them feel more comfortable. 4. I am trying new stuff soon where it will be more in person stuff with a lot of midwestern competitors where I will be more myself and less robotic. and to answer luvembuff I can't imagine how hard that would be if you were very attracted to them the trick is to not be honestly. Out of the 500 or so guests only 5 I can say were appealing to me 5. Thank you for your opinions I actually appreciate it and wish you all the best :)

Hey! Like I said before, as someone who did post criticism here a couple years back, I can say you have definitely much improved. Plus, I think it says a lot about you when you reply to posts like these in the way you did. Personally, I give you a lot of credit for doing what you do, and I wish nothing but success for you and your podcast.

Thanks! So yeah if I can give a little constructive criticism….you seem to talk over the guest a little sometimes and the conversation is kind of rigid, if that makes sense, as in it doesn’t seem like a natural conversation. It’s like you have a list of topics and have to stick to those in perfect order and can’t change from that even if you guys aren’t talking about that topic.

But hey, you definitely seem like a good dude and still think you’re doing a great job and all. So thanks, man. Keep it up and keep doing what you enjoy.

That is my problem, sticking to a script too rigidly. The perfect interviewer says as little as possible and gets the maximum out of the interviewee. Short concise questions. No one wants to hear the interviewer rambling on for minutes. They also listen to the answers and follow up with relevant questions to get the full picture, when an answer only partly does this. Such as, an answer might be "I joined a gym and six months later I did my first contest". There are so many questions that need to be asked as a follow up to an answer like that. Why did they join the gym, how long was it before they realised they wanted to compete and why. Did they discover they were naturally strong, did they change their diet, did they gain in strength quickly, what did their friends think, etc, etc. To me that is the really important part. After all getting on stage in a bikini to have your body judged is not for everyone, so how they got to that mind set is very intriguing.

It’s extremely difficult to make an interesting podcast. Given the small size of our niche, I am not at all surprised that nothing exists. Fans normally only want to share their stories on forums like this one, and the majority of women who do physique modeling have regular lives - relationships, kids, jobs, church, etc.

But if someone does the work and tries to produce something, I will give it a listen.

Personally, Ryan, I love your interviews. You have the gift of helping your guests relax. This website is for the muscle fetishist who wants to beat off looking at muscle girls, not for aficionados of bodybuilding (though there are quite a few of those too). It's entirely crowdsourced, but the moderators do a good job of policing paid and watermarked images. Many FBBs know that there are guys like me who shovel out big bucks for FBB porn every week, and this becomes a decent source of income for them. It's naive to assume that physique athletes are unaware of this kink because so many of them capitalize on it. Bodybuilding as a sport has always been fringe, but you can see by the proliferation of new young women doing muscle TikTok that it's becoming more popular with the new generations. Keep up your good work, because even though I dig the muscle women I do see them as people rather than objects, and it's always nice to see more of them in a casual setting.

I’m just worried we’d get something like the old Howard Stern show. A mixture of “Get a load of this freak “ with “This girl makes me hot.” If you’ve ever heard/seen Stern’s stuff with Nicole Bass, you know what I mean. Or get a load of some of the creepier schmoes on this site, for example. Such a show would insult the athletes and die within a few months.

There's a podcast called "Let's Grow Big Together" which is done by two gay guys and does focus quite a bit on muscle worship and fetish.

Almost all the guests are men, but they did one episode with a woman:

Plus you can listen to the other episodes where guys talk about how hot it is to be huge and muscular and NO ONE EVER HAS TO KNOW, haha.

Jeez yeah, I do remember that. Felt terrible for her in those days. Howard Stern has been an enormous POS for so long.

I usually listen to podcasts when i am on the go so. i wouldn't want to risk listening to fbbs talking about their muscles and getting horny in public. i do sometimes listen to erotic asmr and audio stories but only at home .but usually the women making those are not muscular.
