> For me it was findins a copy of Wrestling Review in the late 70's and seeing a muscular wrestler named Laura Del Rio.
Ha, this one I'm guessing? https://prowrestling.fandom.com/wiki/Wrestlin...
Better picture of the cover:
(Apparently she was a Mexican wrestler)
HOLY CODFISH BALLS! I had that exact same magazine! I followed Wrestling Review because they often had articles or at least photos of women wrestlers (though nothing matching my old, beloved Sports Review Wrestling Illustrated “Apartment House Wrestling” years).
> Rays Hollitt skin deep did it for me
That was a great one. Posing under that spotlight and then that grin at the end that said “I’m about to have my way with you”
“How does that make you feel?” “Like Mrs. Arnold Schwarzenegger.”
Who could forget Bev Francis? Big even by today’s standards, (HUGE back then). Still going strong, living with her wife (I’m sure at least part of the reason I loved her was that she set off my gaydar) and owns a gym.
Sorry for the picture quality.
In mid 1980s UK a Saturday evening family TV show with Noel Edmonds did a Mr Puniverse skit and the award was handed out by Carolyn Cheshire...my 12 year old mind was blown and I'd spend hours in newsagents looking through muscle magazines to see Cory Everson etc. Then when I went into the city I discovered a hardcore weightlifting store which sold WPW and Female Bodybuilding magazine...I couldn't get home fast enough!
For us older guys...our first muscle girl turn on came LONG before female bodybuilding. The first time female muscle hit me was in the 2nd grade. My female teacher had amazing biceps. She used to sit on the edge of her desk and brush her hair. Obviously I wasn't turned on at 7 years old. That came in the 9th grade and there were 4 or 5 girls with nice arms that definitely turned me on.
I remember hanging out with a girl in my early preteens and her looking up "female bodybuilder" and scrolling through google images. First time I had seen women with real size like that. She asked me what I thought and I pretended to be weirded out. Looking back I am pretty sure she was into it too. From that moment and probably until the day I die, Heather Policky on stage hitting a lat spread will been burned into my brain.
Tina Lockwood for her mass and beauty
Ohhh man I'm just imagining her lying atop me, smiling down... I don't think I'd ever want to get up again :)
