Thoughts on tattoos

Mar 14, 2021 - permalink

Just wondering what are your thoughts on tattoos on muscular women? Not just a few tattoos in various locations. Talking more about full arm sleeves or where a majority of the physique is covered in tattoos. Do you find that it distracts from the physique?

It's like putting graffiti all over the Taj Mahal.

No thanks....Some small tats maybe but the whole sleeve, back, legs, etc just kills it for me. GWM and all women. Like the girls who got tramp stamps or barb wire back in the day, they will grow to regret them.

Personally, I hate when tats cover up beautiful female muscle. Full sleeved tattoos can kind of give the illusion of a fabric sleeve. A flexed bi can look like a little mountain pressing up a sleeve, when it's actually a tat. However, for the most part, I just hate to see a detailed, muscular back, or biceps, being covered up or detracted from.

when i was a kid in early 70s.i thought tattoos for anyone were not good..i saw one on a girl i knew as i got older 13 age in 76 and it was her name on her arm..well i thought that was dumb too..but didn't say anything. i lived in housing projects on the south side..in 70s there wasn't any shootings[until 1980] but a lot of fights anyway i thought tattoos belonged to the live for today no tomorrow people and certainly didn't see kids with them after we moved a few years later... somehow the media in the 90s along with peer pressure ,whatever started making tattoos' popular .perhaps parents just gave up and didnt talk to their kids or maybe the chemicals in our food water have changed peoples brains...perhaps too much lead in the soil and in turn in our food now adays..but to me a tattoo is a marring of ones body..and ultimately a permanent marring idk but i imagine laser removal leaves some trace. BUT TO EACH HIS OWN and while i find it distasteful as a permanent thing on ones body others do not and it is their right. in one of my posts on tattoos a few years ago..i theorized a type of ink or nano adherence [cant recall[ but something that could be removed if desired..that held a very small memory ''bios'' if you will..that one could change their tattoo whenever they wanted ,even make it blank and translucent when desired..and that the tat could also change like a screensaver etc..that would be cool...the post was a few years ago and i have made many[lucid and crazy posts] so it would be tough to find..there are some tattoo's i think are really great...but they are permanent and myself i would not want to go through life..decade after decade.with one, as certainly its luster would fade.

I like them if they are tasteful, well done, and a good fit for the model. Having a well put together theme also makes them look a lot better versus women who get random tattoos all over. Even if they are poorly done they don't detract too much for me.

I like Megan Elizabeth Colvin, but her tattoos represent the worst it can be in my opinion.

Same issue for Cinara Polido.

Rachel Campbell on the other hand has complementary arm sleeves that let you contrast arms, and have a more monolithic and unified look.

Tattos are not for the body....in the rush ..health controls cant keep up..Hep cases..non sterile instraments..if you look up these you.ll be as shocked as i was...and my 18 yr old ...it was her research.

I think they can be sexy as hell! As someone who has tats, I like getting a little insight into a persons' personality based on how they adorn their bodies. As far as health risks, all it takes is a little common sense to enjoy body art safely.

Tats can be sexy on a woman, I just hate seeing beautiful female muscle covered up...at all.

Like the others have said, I don't mind small pieces but really dislike any large pieces that cover a whole arm, back, chest etc.

I've really lamented this in recent years, like a rash of women getting sleeves. Personal preference aside, if you're a bodybuilder and your goal is to show your body...doesn't covering it up negate that work, in part? Having thigh or arm sleeves obliterating your look?

i was watching some mandy squires vids I had, pre/post chest tattoo. Her chest was better AFTER the tattoo, but BEFORE it was uninterrupted clean lines. in one of the videos i had asked her to do a side chest pose featuring her tattood arm--of course, I couldn't see any details in the arm at all, but the chest looked amazing. but overall was not as compete as the clean side.

Natasha Aughey, Shannon Courtney and others have gone down that route recently. I know they aren't competing but I guess it seems odd for those who are. I talked to Angie Yeo about this, since she has tattoos on her fingers/hands, and admittedly when i first came across her i was worried that there were tattoos interrupting the look of her physique, but she has the same concerns i do: she's building her work of art and at the moment that would really be counter-intuitive.

No Tatoos at all

Tattoos CAN look good on fbbs and fitness girls but as a whole I feel like its detrimental. From a kinky sexy angle some girls go all out and it looks alright but being purely aesthetic like a stage judge then imma say NO. Small ones arent bad but for example I noticed Carla got a tattoo over her perfect ass and was bummed when I saw the recent pic

On the other hand some girls who go all in on the kinky tattooed look kind of make it in my book

I'll be damned if I can find the appeal on anyone, but especially sad to see it on a muscular work of art.

"Say, I've never seen a drawing of a skull/butterfly/fire/spider/dragon/etc before, may I examine 5 Sq inches of your ass to check out the work of this reknown artist named 'tat-man'?

Pretty much sums it up for me.

IMO, No lady , FBB or not, should have tattoos. They are always regretted later in life. You're not being "unique" or "expressing yourself".

Well said......We have all done dumb stuff when we were younger...Some of this activity is to feed the narcissism of "LOOK AT ME" but I believe won't be very hot when she's 50.

<3 thanks a lot. i'm dying to get more (i have some very good ideas for some) but they are expensive. i do wonder how and where all these fitness influencers get so much disposable income when they spend almost all their time just working out
