Awesome, man!  Hope she keeps it up!

Honestly, I think it's great when a girl is both on the chubby/chunky side AND has muscles.  The extra weight can be helpful. (My friend Krissy used to be like that....  weighed 250-260lbs. and could do seated pull-downs on the machines in the gym with the full stack of weights on it.  The stack was 230lbs. so she needed to weigh a little more than it did to be able to pull the bar down without just lifting herself up from her seated position on the weight bench instead.)

I hope that such bad experiences will not work to discourage women from challenging exercises. Those are, after all, what build their physique.

There's a lot of women who compete in the "physique" and other intermediate categories nowadays.  I tend to reserve the "bodybuilder" tag for women who actually compete as such or who are on the obviously large and bulky side, but others may feel differently.  Someone like Paige Sandgren is a good example, I couldn't blame anyone for falling on either side of whether the tag is warranted, especially depending on the exact pic.  The categories have also changed over the years (some classic early female bodybuilders look more like just muscular fitness competitors nowadays), and a fair amount of former female bodybuilders have slimmed down to the newer physique categories, to make things more confusing.
^ this, I especially agree with Chipperpip on the labels. Also, if we use the word bodybuilder literally every woman on this website is a 'bodybuilder'.

I like the new layout and design Chainer!

Yeah the new site will use different icons for sure, not the current ones.

There will not be room in the new design for a full banner. Maybe once the site is live I can run a contest or something to have someone design a logo.
Nov 04, 2017 - context
The site name may be in a more distinctive font and a logo would be nice, but I don't have the artistic skills to make one myself.

You could do a contest for a new logo for the site. GWM has thousands of users, there are probably several with graphic design knowledge. You could also take the opportunity to change the icons to edit, report and delete comments. They are pretty outdated.

I'd like the same layout on mobile and desktop (with the one difference being that more whitespace between pics is OK on desktop)

With the square thumbs we'd have to truncate some pictures, which for most pics works OK.

The problem with a grid layout is that all the extra whitespace is very punishing on mobile.

I'd be fine with it if it were just on the mobile version, it seemed like you were saying the change would be universal?

I had a bio on some ripoff tinder app that said i liked buff girls and chubby girls, my now girlfriend sees this and thinks "im both strong and chubby, I'm perfect for him" so she swipes me and we start talking, after about a month of me saying how hot she would be with more muscles she realized my muscle fetish rubbed off, so now shes trying to lose the weight and get as buff as possible, and she's made some decent progress.

So
1. I just told her outright that i liked buff girls
2. She was completely fine with it.
3. She started working out a lot and also gets turned on by the idea behind being buff too.

So my situation turned out very very well.

well as I said she has the fetish too, and she actually really likes that shes stronger than me, one day i said that my fetish side and my competitive side were conflicted, she said both of her sides were very pleased, she really likes that shes making progress and getting bigger.

Very cool.  Just getting my wife to flex is a chore.  She would definitely never take a picture of her muscles.  Congrats!  The future looks good for you

You could also add a tag for anonymous in the "search" section. It would make things much easier. And from the point of aesthetics, will this be the definitive color palette? And what will happen with the header of the site? I mean the letters in longhand and the girl drawn in golden lines. I liked it better before, with her arm flexed with a big bicep.

I am indeed planning on having an option to filter for pics with no name. The colors may change a bit; I'm considering having the buttons be gray rather than blue. There will be no banner on the new site. The site name may be in a more distinctive font and a logo would be nice, but I don't have the artistic skills to make one myself.

I actually prefer a defined grid layout for the index pages, myself.  You lose some screen real estate, but it makes it easier to visually scan through a large amount of pictures.  It would also be nice if the tags and such were a little more prominent and separated above the comments in the new design.  Looks pretty nice otherwise, though!

The problem with a grid layout is that all the extra whitespace is very punishing on mobile. The solution to that could be to have thumbnails that are always square (like what instagram does) which lets you have both a grid layout and not much whitespace in between the thumbs, but then the thumbnails that aren't perfectly square already would need to be cropped.

OK, so I met my girlfriend on a ripoff Tinder app and in my bio I stated that I liked buff girls. She's currently chubby but really strong. After about a month of dating and me talking about how hot she would look with muscles, she realized that my muscle fetish rubbed off on her and now shes trying to get as huge as she can. The thing that rubbed off on her specifically was the idea behind me and her competing on who could get more buff, so when we move in together we're gonna do that. For now we're just comparing muscle and strength, so far shes stronger but my arms are bigger. I cant wait till I can touch that muscled up body of hers. Also, she's 3 inches taller than me, I'm 5'6 (I know, short) and she's 5'9.

The pic is her progress over about 2 weeks

Great news. With all my respect, but GWM looked like a web from the 90s.
The occasion could be used to make some other changes. One of the things upgradeable as GWM is the way it treats models. When you click on a name it's just a script that shows you a matching search. I think it would be better if the models had a profile, something similar to deviantart: https://rentb.deviantart.com/

The home template could be used. The most recent, most favorite and highest score photos of that particular model. You only have to choose a photo for the profile (the highest score) and some links to her social networks. Sometimes it's a pain in the ass to find the instagram of a girl: Margie V. Martin = msmelanite ... or something like that.

I was referring to the "about" text. The previous text made it clear that GWM is a photo site, and that the photos must be public domain. The current one seems an "about" of a patreon for athletes. Also the "bikini models" and "fitness" leaves the door open to any skinny girl, "musclular women" was much better.
