It depends. The harm largely comes from living an unhealthy lifestyle, overusing gear, and working with clandestine chemistry. The risk is substantially lower once you overcome these three problems.
Testosterone is increasingly being used in rejuvenating practices like TRT and HRT as well as in gender affirming care. These methods have seen tremendous success in many patients because their cases are monitored by trained professionals. The trouble comes with doing everything by yourself in the dark.
I would never date someone who's blasting because they tend to make shitty partners due to the baggage that motivates someone to do that to themselves, but short term stuff? Of course.
If you're asking about media I might view on the internet, I couldn't care less. Why would I?
Questions like this are a bit odd because at the end of the day, we have no say towards whatever women who lift decide what to do with their bodies when it comes to using PEDs. You talk to any woman who lifts, and most will tell you (and this is coming from me being around them as well from being a part of strength sports) that they do it for themselves. Some might get pressured into getting on PEDs from romantic partners or coaches, but they're not going to be swayed by schomes lol.
I think OP is asking about whether we feel we’re supporting and encouraging unhealthy behavior. Honestly, I really feel it’s out of my hands. If I was paying for an FBB’s Onlyfans, I’d feel guilty, because I’m actively financially supporting self-destructive behavior, just as if I was paying for morbidly obese or anorexic models. But in a situation like this site, I literally have no power over these women’s lives and choices.
When you think of Hannah Hussein's coach not telling her what he was giving to her, that's messed up. A woman buying random gear and not really knowing what they're doing can be scary. I'd say that's where I draw the line, but it's impossible to know. A woman working with someone who knows what they're doing, preferably a doctor, is cool though.
PED's are kinda normal in sport and glamour. As far as illegal activity (where it is illegal), it's closer to victimless than most. As far as sport, I think combat athletes should be tested, but if it wasn't illegal in so many places, I don't see why the governing bodies of other pro sports: body building, CrossFit, tennis, whatever, shouldn't consider revising policies. The biggest issue then becomes that the athletes who can afford the best doctors/coaches would have an edge, but this is already somewhat true.
you only talk about the negatives.
steroids give them many benefits as well.
-makes them instafamous
-boost their ego
-can be turned into a profitable business of coaching/nutrition
in men it's the same.
where would john cena, the rock, schwarzenegger be without steroids?
nowhere.... arnold would be a farmer in austria probably.
There seems to be three keys to succeeding with PEDs:
KNOW what you’re actually taking and RESEARCH effects, side effects, proper dosage, etc. Don’t just accept a little bottle from the sketchy guy hovering around the locker room. And if you’re getting the stuff from your coach, KNOW your team and know IF you can really trust them.
ACTUALLY PUT IN THE WORK. Otherwise you get a body like Elon Musk (allegedly).
Finally, KNOW WHEN TO QUIT. You can’t get away with cycling this stuff for the rest of your life; keep it up too long and this shit will kill you.
I voted like the look, hate what it takes to get it.
I’ve dated a number of girls who have been muscular. When you get past the look, you have to deal with the body image problems (typically body dysmorphia), extreme gym schedules, crying at night because they can’t have a cookie and protein farts. I had a girl once break down at a diner because the waiter couldn’t tell her if the omelette was made with corn oil or olive oil.
And yes, the PEDs. The illegal way you have to get them. The way you have to track it yourself if you’re actually trying to be careful and not hurt yourself. The acne and facial hair. The excuses you have to come up with for your doctor when they say your blood tests and blood pressure are all out of whack. And you have a sub-10 body fat for months on end. That’s unhealthy, the doctor will say. But you ignore it.
The FANTASY of what it’s like to be with a girl like this draws me in more than the reality. The reality is a lot of guys on this site have not actually lived with a muscular, competing girlfriend for a long time. I think if you do, you’d have a much different appreciation of the sacrifices that have to be made. There’s a reason most people (men and women) don’t do bodybuilding forever.
you can take PEDs safely, if you know what you are doing. Many have taken cycles for years and lead happy healthy lives. afaic let them roid up, as long as they dont lose the femininity it's all good. women bodybuilders have an advantage over men in this regard, as their biology has a built-in safeguard that tells them when they're doing too much
I have been told women cannot fart because they lack a prostate?
Have you never been in private proximity to a woman in your life?
Have you never been in private proximity to a woman in your life?
Well of course the answer to that is yes. But you really don't need to because all the answers are out there if you know the right questions to ask.
Have you never been in private proximity to a woman in your life?
Are you 12? I'll never understand such arrogant/rude responses like this. You're talking to a stranger who you know nothing about.
I would have picked what is currently the top result, but you used the words "her body her choice" and that has always turned me off.
I personally don't care where each of you stands on the issue. You can vote however you like. I'm more interested in the overall results of the poll.
Let's face it... most of the top women featured here are taking PED's. I think at this point most of us know that PED's in general are not healthy, but they are very necessary to achieve that huge, shredded physique that many of us love. Where do you draw the line?
