I don't recall ever deleting one of my own uploads, so if my first feature suggestion already exists, I apologize in advance...
Rather than moving the delete button, you could add a delete confirmation dialog:
Also, I noticed the delete button's margins are substantially larger than any of the other buttons making the button itself much larger. You could make the margins the same, or you could even make it the smallest button to increase the likelihood that button presses are deliberate.

- "Are you sure? You cannot undo deletions. (yes / NO)".

Are you using the site from pc or smartphone? I am from smartphone so maybe thats the issue
Moreover, I've accidentally deleted 2-3 posts simply by going to change the thumbnail of a video and being a little too quick about it. I mean, this button placement is extremely likely to be causing a lot of avoidable oopsies, even more so than aforementioned situations due to the sheer size and proximity of the buttons. Adding a confirmation prompt would eliminate this issue altogether.

I typically use my smartphone nowadays. I've never personally experienced your dilemma, but I understand it from a UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) perspective and offered my suggestions.

You just verified my suspicion that there's no confirmation dialog. However, given your admitted hastiness in clicking, even a secondary confirmation won't save you from your inclination to haste. You'll inevitably just click through the confirmation too on autopilot. While the confirmation dialog helps prevent accidents, your haste is a deliberate behavior. You'll need to deprogram from your hasty behavior to fully eliminate the problem.
I see your point, but my shortcomings don't make the issue any less valid. Whether it is due to haste, poor motor skills, bad eyesight, or anything else, the fact of the matter remains that it could and probably should be preventable, and a confirmation pop-up would essentially turn a lukewarm problem into a non-problem. Ultimately it's up to Chainer, but I fail to see how such an implementation would negatively affect the user experience.

We're in total agreement that adding a confirmation dialog would help... Significantly.
I was first to mention it in this thread and this makes my 3rd advocacy in favor of it.
You shouldn't frame the aforementioned haste as a shortcoming. It's far too natural for the majority of people. It's technology that's unnatural and the shortcomings are those of the creators of the technology tasked with perpetually refining things to find ways to make the natural human difficulties "preventable".
It's a perpetual process for two reasons. The creators themselves are of course human and therefore it's natural that they too are fallible. And assuming the creators were entirely infallible, the natural humanity of the users are perpetually inventive at finding new natural ways to make mistakes that "should have been preventable".
It's a merry-go-round. Just enjoy the ride.
