Wonder Woman, late '70's version. Physique, facial beauty, her nobility all blew me away, and made a 10 year old boy a man in almost half the time nature intended.

Lynda Carter was the ultimate to me. The show came on just as I was hitting puberty and she had my hormones raging. When it became available on DVD via Netflix I watched the whole series. Forgot how cheesy it was but Ms Carter was spectacular. IMHO she is still the most beautiful woman on TV ever (Sofia Vergera runs her a close second)

Anyone remember the TV movie in the early 70’s with Cathy Lee Crosby?
It wasn't that early. That issue came out more like 1979 or 1980.
> I believe mine was 1977 (the 77 in my login name). I was in my dorm room reading a Sports Illustrated magazine, catching up on that week's sporting news when there was an article on female bodybuilding and if I remember correctly, it featured Rachel McClish and Laura Combes. As soon as I saw the photos, I was immediately excited and turned on. I couldn't believe that a woman could look like that and it just opened my mind to the possibilities. Soon afterwards, ESPN covered bodybuilding shows and I found myself recording them on VHS tape so I can watch them over and over. To this day, and after many many years of marriage, a female bodybuilder will still excite me more than any other woman I have been with..... just something about them that triggers so many erotic thoughts and emotions.
I agree; it was not until some time in the early '80s. I think the article referred to a competition they were in that was televised, maybe the first Miss Olympia. At any rate, I kinda knew before I saw that televised competition, but when I saw it (and it was only highlights) I thought it was the most erotic thing I had ever seen. I knew at that point I was hooked on muscle.
Since that time there have been others. Each new generation pushes the limits further and further. Some times it is the look that turns me on. Sometimes it is the strength. We live in remarkable times compared to when I was in my early twenties.
For me it was admiring the toned physiques of pro wrestlers like Lita, Bella Twins, Natalya, Christy Hemme, Kelly Kelly,Alicia Fox, Paige, Celeste Bonin,Summer Rae, Brooke Tessmacher that made me love women with abs
Then it got spicier when I saw the commercial with Ana Delia and the music video of shakira
Followed by discovering hot pics/videos of Michelle Lewin, Ava Cowan, Eva Andressa, Paige Hathaway, Narmin Assria, Marissa Rivero, Jamie Eason, Yarishna Ayala, Bella Falconi, Ana Cheri, Bettina Nagy, Laura Prestin, and even Brittany Renner
Anybody remember GLOW? Gorgeous ladies of wrestling? I think thats where it all started for me.
Oh yes, I remember them. Tina Ferrari (later Ivory on WWE) was my favorite. Nice physique for the time. I liked Jungle Woman, Ashley Cartier, Spanish Red, and Americana as well. Not buff but hot. Olympia was supposed to be a bodybuilder, though pretty small by today’s standards.
I remember being like 7-8 years old and going to “library” in school. It was the mid 90s and library was like 10 minutes worth of learning stuff about the library then just looking for books we wanted to take home. I was already the athlete of the class and all I cared about was sports. So I find this book and it’s just like a dictionary for sports for kids to read with a bunch of pictures. Naturally, I opened it.
Flip a few pages and there she is, the first time I REALLY remember being shocked by a muscular woman. There was a little spot about female bodybuilding and a woman in a black bikini was holding her hands up not even really flexing - I’ll put a picture similar to it at the bottom). I couldn’t stop looking and just kept taking out that book to look at the female bodybuilder. From that point on, I was hooked.
I also remember watching Worlds Strongest Woman Contests on ESPN2 just a little after that and seeing Jill Mills…holy shit.

It was in 1993 while watching the 1989 sex comedy Skin Deep.
John Ritter's sex addicted character has a one night stand with FBB Raye Hollitt - but he doesn't realise that she's muscular until they get back to her place & she strips to a bikini.
I was absolutely stunned & massively turned on. I soon bought the film on VHS. I was 23 at the time.
I recommend the film for anybody, it is funny. If you get the chance to see it, do.
Great topic. Mine was a bikini contest from Dallas on a little known satellite channel called F1. Nearly every girl on there was a fitness girl. One would end up being somewhat famous, Leisa Bolfing at the time, later Leisa Hart. Some of the best calves ever.
Stumbled upon some YouTube videos of Sara Solomon and Jamie Eason and that’s when I started feeling attracted to fit/muscular women. They were great but things were taken to a whole other level when I saw a since deleted upload of Aleesha Young flexing and posing in a light blue bikini, I think that was the first time I’ve ever seen a female with that much muscle mass and since then I’ve loved and appreciated them huge ever since.
Oh, geez. I've been following female bodybuilding for decades. I guess the first was Rachel McLish in the film Pumping Iron II: The Women That's a guess. Unless you count the tomboy down the road from my childhood home who was pretty and stronger than me. Had great biceps, or at least my childhood self thought so
Another early one for me, on the celebrity side, was Pamela Anderson. She went on a flexing rampage in the mid 90s. All my buddies just talked about her boobs but those biceps were fine as hell
