Pizza is a common cheat food or post-competition food.
So is practically every other type of junk food or large meal. We don't need to get that granular with something that isn't directly physique-related.
Noticed dumbbell curls. Suggest merging dumbbell curls ==> biceps curls.
"abs flex" is pretty much being used when "abs" would have sufficed.

Also overlapping with "abs reveal" https://www.girlswithmuscle.com/images/?tags=...
I merged "lats spread" -> "lat spread", since that's apparently the proper name for the pose, even though you refer to the muscle group as "lats".
I also merged "back lats" and "rear lats" into just "lats" since they were being used pretty broadly.
I do wonder if it's worth keeping the separate "front lat spread" and "rear lat spread" tags versus just merging them into "lat spread", or merging "lat spread" into one of them. Compared to double biceps poses they're a lot less popular and common, so there's less need to narrow it down as much.
Either way I feel like we should probably end up with either just the front and back lat spread tags, or just the general lat spread one, but not all three. Anyone else have any thoughts?
> In any case, currently I'm still seeing a bunch of uploads with double biceps flex applied that only feature back biceps, so those would need to be cleaned up to only have "back double biceps" before we can merge "double biceps flex" into "front double biceps".
I am looking again now, and found a bunch on the first pages. Will scan through again.
I just did another pass to clean up double biceps flex.
Subscribed to double biceps flex, and 18 tags were applied since yesterday. Most are "front double biceps" taggable.

I would tend to agree, it probably makes more sense to merge front and rear lat spread into lat spread given that there are almost 1.5k images in there compared to the ~160 images in front and rear lat spread.
Selfie / selfie with a camera
Seems a bit redundant. Can a selfie even be taken without a camera? 95% of these uploads are “selfie”.
Does “selfie with a stick” tag add much value?

Agree with this also.
Does anyone have an opinion on "glutes through clothes"?
There are other "through clothes" tags that make more sense since they're a bit more rare (abs, for example). But in the case of glutes... when are they not visible through clothing? This seems to be another way of saying "clothed" or "covered" glutes.
> Yes I never understood hard calves. It's useless. Although I don't understand how we ended up allowing that, but not allowing wide calves as that's obviously more descriptive and obvious and applicable.
The intent was for extremely sharply defined calves, like this:
Sort of the equivalent of "peaked biceps" for calves. The regular calves tag is of limited use, since it was a default tag on the site for so long, and can reasonably be applied to pretty much any picture with muscular calves visible.
Would it be more clear if it were called something like "sharp calves" instead?
We appear to also have a "heart shaped calves" tag: https://www.girlswithmuscle.com/images/?tags=...
Debating on merging “huge boobs” and “breast implants”
It probably works. "huge boobs" is subjective, especially when talking about athletic women. In a fitness context, a lean muscular physique with very large breasts is likely a special surgical enhancement.
hey, a couple suggestions:
this isn't a merge suggestion but seems applicable to the thread: tomboy should be a model tag as opposed to an image tag i think. i can see the other perspective though because it's possible for a girl to have more of a tomboy style in some content but not in other content; there just are some models that seem to fit the tomboy model tag perfectly like these:
moreover, i can see how tomboy might be a bit subjective. for example i would consider this girl a tomboy:
https://www.girlswithmuscle.com/2194836/
but ofc, she doesn't have the typical look people probably associate with the term (i.e. short hair, masculine style of dress). it's hard because tomboy is both sort of a personality type and an aesthetic lol. so tbh idk what do you guys think?

Too subjective for a model tag , or it might just end up becoming a proxy for basically "lacking femininity" such as Pie Chen. https://www.girlswithmuscle.com/images/?name=...

for comparison, this girl would be another that i'd apply the tomboy model tag to who does have the aesthetics typically associated with the term:
but again, it's difficult to say whether (for the purposes of the site) tomboy is more of an aesthetic or more of a type. there's always the option of creating a "tomboy style" or "tomboy aesthetic" tag and then making tomboy a model tag but it seems like the goal is to end up with fewer tags, not more.
the main issue with tomboy being an image tag is that it gets to be very redundant if every image of a particular girl should be tagged with tomboy anyway just by virtue of them fitting into that aesthetic mold. it's similar to how i noticed "chinese" and "korean" (along with a handful of other origin/nationality tags) is currently both a model tag and an image tag but it should only be a model tag because any particular girl can't just un-become chinese in a different image lol. brief sigh our struggle is real. :P i'm probably just overthinking this haha.
yeah that makes sense -- i guess the status quo is fine. but since this brought up the topic:
-origin/nationality tags should only be model tags for the reason i mentioned.
Yeah, it's mostly unchangeable except for country or residence which can change but I do sometimes wonder where the information for some of the often multiple ethnic/nationality model tags come from. Their name? Their appearance? Their parents? Other online detective work?

well most likely for those it's just knowledge sourced from other info online. but for the non-multiple ethnic/nationality girls it's pretty simple. lemme put it like this, she is chinese, and very chinese at that LOL:
so that's why i'm saying it makes little sense to have it be an image tag.

The country of residence shouldn’t even factor in. That is just noise. For example we would not label Vadislava Galagas Czech, just because she lives in Prague. If she took on Czech nationality that would be different, but she always identifies as Russian.
Any ethnic or nationality information should be based on evidence, rather than a gut feeling.
I would suggest that “pizza" not be merged into "dining/eating/food". Pizza is a common cheat food or post-competition food. So the girl’s face often reflects defiance or celebration.
