Weird, but I've actually reached the point where I prefer my FBB out of season, or at least not on stage. They look so much SMALLER when they're dieted down and onstage.

& for their sakes, it's unhealthy

When any bodybuilder pulls on their skin to show how lean they are is absolutely revolting. Or describing themselves as “peeled” is gross, too. I’m saying stuff reminding me of skin distressing (to put it mildly) grosses me out intensely. It’s like some hellraiser horror. I don’t like it!

I realize certain people may take issue with this opinion, but to me it's kind of a turn off whenever I see bible verses in a model's bio, or just religious content in general.

I guess it speaks more of my strong anti-religious beliefs than anything but hey, pretty sure that's an unpopular opinion regardless hehe

I grew up going to church and left a long time ago. I've learned that the more prominent the cross, the bigger the sinner is almost always true. Makes me think about some of the models....

don't you love the "dick skin" comments too? /s

i make exceptions for if they always posted like that. as in if they are notable now for their following, but they were posting like that before when it was legitmately just friends and family that may also be religious. but also, believe it or not, some of us use instagram as an album, or a training log, or a visual journal.

some people get religious with it, jsut depends if they also happen to be terrible people once they gain some kind of notoriety. and if they live by what they say they believe.

Plz not the dick skin posts. 😔

But also, the scripture quoting or devotionals underneath pictures of oiled cleavage and bulging muscles in fetish gear ring a tad hollow. I dunno.

And another thing is the term “muscle mommy” needs to be nuked. I don’t want to think about my mom when I’m looking at bodybuilding babes.

Amen! Another milder turn-off compared to the open religiousness is the bland, generic “positive vibes” and blah “keep going!” remarks. Like, I get the sentiment, but I read the comments to get a sense of the person in the picture, and these bland sentiments make me think they’re all airheads.

What you said kind of ties into the statement I made in this thread earlier. The "keep going/don't quit" remarks make them seem robotic and not human. Us in the fandom have been around long enough to know that bodybuilders "quit" their competitive pursuits for various reasons all the time.

It's hilarious how many of these women are right-wing Christians. They behave as though strength training and mirror gazing was some kind of godly activity. They are so serious about the gym, then they diet down to veins and muscles before dying themselves to the color of walnut stain and don stiff sparkly bikinis and high heels so they can step onto a platform and pivot before a bunch of subjectively critical creeps who compare their "flaws." This is a multimillion-dollar industry that benefits nobody except the fetishists like myself, and here are the women thanking Jesus for the power to carry on.

To be fair, I think this is more of a "don't hate the player, hate the game" kind of thing. Fitness influencers post in that kind of manner because the majority of social media viewers who follow them do so to see that kind of content. It's kind of similar to the whole celebrity worship idea where the public follows celebrities' lives because they live an idealized fantasy of what the average viewer wants for themselves. Things like talking about hardship and struggles don't get as much engagement as the motivational "rah rah" kind of posts do. You don't look at fitness influencers' pages or really any other major public figure's page for a realistic look into their lives. Rather, what you see is a manufactured fantasy to appeal to the largest audience possible.

Bikini division should be banned. I would love to see a bodybuilder squash those tiny pixies.

From my experience in strength sports and actually being around fit and muscular women in person, all of them have had at some point received creepy comments from "schmoes" with fetishy questions or just weird comments and requests. While not all these dudes had pictures on their profile, I noticed that pretty much all of the ones with pics looked clearly out of shape and weren't at all into lifting or any kind of dedicated training. I am a bit shamed to admit that when I was younger and before I got into my current sport, that I was also like that when messaging or commenting on a bodybuilder's page.

As such, I honestly believe that every dude who finds muscular women hot and/or wants to get with one should also train at a dedicated level (including possibly competing) in some kind of strength sport, whether that be bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, olympic weightlifting or crossfit. I know that I always thought that I understood how hard they trained, but it wasn't until I got into training myself that my appreciation and admiration for the work they put in increased exponentially. It also helped me not fall into the "schmoe myths" that we see a lot on forums like that, and that helped me with not feeling compelled to ask fetishy questions when I would message them, and instead be able to talk about actual topics related to their disciplines like training, nutrition, recovery, programs and so on.

I want to emphasize that I know that fit and muscular guys can also be creepy just like non-fit dudes can be respectful and not wear their fetishes on their sleeves. That being said, I think actually getting into lifting in a dedicated level can help prevent someone from interacting with the women they find attractive with their kinks fully out and thus repelling them. I know it personally helped me.

ok kind of a weird second half but i do think bikini needs to be adjusted and severely trimmed. the fact that they have a whole afternoon dedicated to bikini because it's so easy to get a pro card and then qualify for the O is laughable. you're trying to compete with the best, so they expand the pool for money reasons and waste everyones time.

it's just a T+A show at this point too, and i hate that it probably encourages women who don't need implants to get them because it "helps their shape" or whatever

I tried to work out but it doesn't actually seem to do anything. I must have bad genetics or something. because I some how lost weight and got fitter after I quit working out. But during the time I did a lot sport I just got fatter and weaker. and the places I go to to work out only have men and old women. and they are too busy and never talk to people who are not family or old friends.

Agreed, although this is just one of the two million ways that hypocrisy is fully baked into that ideology.

Why do people always react like this when people with bad luck complain about not getting results.

I have seen a lot of people that I personally know complain about how they're not seeing results even though they have been working out, and a lot of them blame their genetics. Here is the reality from what I have observed in their actual habits: Their training sucks, they eat like shit, they don't emphasize their recovery (like get enough sleep, party too hard, drink too much), they don't do essential accessory work (like mobility) or they're switching from program to program without being consistent (along with a lack of consistency in general.)

Sorry to say yotv, but I am pretty sure that your lack of results falls into one of those factors if not all of them. Genetics only matter if you're looking to reach an elite, professional level. Way too many people like to blame their genetics when they are not training at an optimal level. For example, my genetics aren't the best. I'm a hardgainer with odd limb proportions with make certain movements more difficult than others, and as a result I'll never be an elite-level olympic lifter. But I still work hard and I made some good results with what I was dealt by nature.

Also, it takes time. Progress (if you're doing it natural) is slow. Influencers like to promise unrealistic results in a short period of time and that they can be done naturally, when the reality is it can take YEARS of CONSISTENT training with small, steady gains to get the results you want.

I've repelled a lot of women, and that's OK - they weren't the ones for me.

fact of the matter, and this may be an actual unpopular opinion.

TRAINING IS BORING AND IT SHOULD BE. all these people advertising plans and making switches every couple of months are scammy. people shoul dbe on programs for six months. if people are doing remote training, then they have to eventually adjust weights on their own, only they can tell what they are able to do or not. most people do not need constant adjustments

Spoken like a true leftist. Since you are so critical of them, why don't you try the obese, green hair, hairy armpit, ladies of the left. I know calling them ladies might be offensive to them, but the sentence was getting a little long.

Bikini is not going anywhere, No1 money maker for the IFBB and the industry. Also a gateway for many girls to start weightlifting and eventually move to heavier divisions. On the contrary I don't see much of a future for FBB.
