It's a shame because Angela might never win with Andrea competing. I guess it can be a good thing for the fans, because if they had never shared the stage then people might argue about who had the better physique, but since they are sharing the stage you can't really argue. For Angela though, it has to be frustrating because she only gets half of what the winner takes home. IMO she deserves to win it at least once and hopefully she does one day.
Michaela would deserve to win just based on her hard work. She's fighting against bad genetics (calves and height) and still managed to squeeze into the top 6 last year. I guess if she can finish top 5 this year then that should be considered a victory for her. I've watched her progress since early 2010's and it still amazes me how far she's gotten and the fact that she still manages to pack more lean muscle onto that small frame of hers.
Our very own Charles Barkley situation. Yeo is a bodybuilders bodybuilder. She gets it, and has IT. But Shaw is the same and she’s entrenched. Given their ages I can imagine this goes on for more than a few years and though being #2 consistently is amazing being capable of one if not for one of THE competitors sucks
Michaela’s drive and determination is so great. If she figured out the wider waist (maybe just getting a massively larger back?), she’d crush it
Last year everyone was amazed by Angela's debut, but I didn't hear anyone arguing she beat Andrea. This year people are saying Angela had the edge in certain areas, but overall, Andrea still takes it. That'd be bad for Angela if she'd peaked, but she hasn't. This is only her second year competing in the division. She said in an interview last year after the O that she wasn't disappointed by 2nd place because she wasn't ready yet. She's got vision, mindset, and room for growth and refinement. Don't count her out yet. Suggested viewing:

Andrea and Angela represent the best of what the sport can be, and that's illustrated by this story. Prior to last year's Rising Phoenix, Angela saw a post that Andrea was hosting a posing seminar. That post came down, so Angela called Andrea's coach John Simmons to check if it was still happening and he told her it was. When Angela arrived, she was surprised that she was the only one there. Apparently, the event was cancelled, but Andrea still showed and did a two-hour one-on-one just for Angela.
@fbbluvr99. In terms of outmuscling, Natalia K is already there, at least sizewise. But the question is if we are ready for a Russian Miss O., even that she has been living in the US for the past 3/4 years. There is obviously her personal closeness to Jake Wood, the owner of Miss O. (whatever you think of it or want to make out of it) which won't hurt, but still it might go down the wire and be politically decided
Also her implants are comically large and are distracting from aesthetics.
Look at the top 6 from rising Phoenix. Only 2 of them have implants and neither of them are sporting ones as big as NKs.
I agree. I like how she looks, but it’s not what I consider to be “#1 Women’s Bodybuilder”
She has big implants because she is herself bigger, taller and stronger than all other competitors. If you look at muscle aesthetics, she brings something new to FBB, this is size and mass. And people start to get bored with only Andrea winning. Angela is just too small as is Micaela
I believe that Andrea is going to win again, but she always comes in conditioned as hell. Angela is amazing too, but Andrea just has the entire package. I can see a world where Kristina wins, but she'll have to add some size and really nail her conditioning. She always seems to come up short on the conditioning imo, but once she nails it and add some size, she'll definitely be in the conversation of being one of the best female bodybuilders in this era.

I also wanna remind people that the Andrea Shaw we've been getting the last couple years technically is her holding back. The woman can get bigger should she choose to. And she'd still maintain the same conditioning. So don't get too cocky thinking her competition has caught up to her like Andrea has hit her ceiling and no longer has any room to improve. Go visit her 2021 contest pics to remind yourselves. The woman could kick it up a notch if she thought she was barely squeaking by on the score cards.

Exactly! They are disproportionate for her body symmetry. Maybe she’s hoping to “grow into them” but she’s got a lot of growing to do. Don’t get me wrong though, I still find her undeniably attractive.
Well it won't be Kristina. She just announced she is dropping out.
