Estimating force used in am wrestling

Jan 30, 2023 - permalink

Been beaten by a girl in about 15 seconds. Beaten by another in about 5 seconds.

Would that mean the second girl was 3 times stronger, since she won 3 times as fast?

Can this be estimated?

It was sit-down arm wrestling. No special techniques, just basic.

In case you put zero resistance but your hand weighs say 200 lbs it might take a weaker girl three times as long to cause your hand to accelerate towards the table, given that there is zero friction.

In reality it means that with the weaker girl it took 15 seconds until your hand got tired enough to give her the advantage.

Ignoring technique or assuming you are equal in it, the result is a combination of two factors, namely strength and endurance. Your level of strength does not remain stable so after a few seconds it becomes a matter of who gets tired first. If it ends very fast then there is a clear advantage in either technique or explosive strength.
