Are you referring to the guy who would oil up their biceps in those old WPW/Ray Martin vids?

Damn, you guys predate me a little. I wasn't aware of Mike at all. I do remember OJ Heller though, and I was subscribed to LH-Art back in the day around 2005 or so. I did enjoy the stories they published.

So a glaring pothole is this whole thing is Andy's Muscle Goddesses. I do vividly remember this was the "go to" site for a long time, kind of a portal of sorts. Who ran it? Who is Andy?

I may have heard it through the grapevine, but supposedly Andy now works with Annie R. at Muscle Angels?

It's still going you know? Though not as active as it was with updates: https://www.amg-lite.net/

Boomer was the big heavyset guy who would regularly get beaten at AW by young girls 1/3 of his size. Although as legend would have it, if there was a stack of pizzas on the line, Boomer would slam Godzilla. ;)

Mike was frequently doing armwrestling and oiling up arms, sometimes measuring. He had a great time.

AMG was a very specific portal site. it's still running but it's a relic from another age, when portals were huge, and when there were more sites. More photo sites, and many times women were hosting their own sites. Now everyone has an instagram or something and there are very few sites still operating.

My prevailing memory of the old site was the absolutely gargantuan armwrestling catalogue. I honestly pity anyone nowadays who is a fan of muscular women armwrestling and didn't get a chance to peruse the HerBiceps vault. Literally hundreds upon hundreds of legitimate matches between top fitness girls and FBBs being updated every week over the span of about a decade. From that standpoint nothing before or since has even come close. During that period it felt like if they ever had two models shooting at the same time it was just a prerequisite that they armwrestled.

There was almost a sort of 'HerBiceps Armwrestling Universe' where so many people were armwrestling each other that you could put together a tier list in your mind of who the best were and then look forward to if they would be pitted against each other. So many memorable matches and moments; Wendy Lindquist being unbeaten then getting obliterated by Shawn Tan, Jen Cowan beating the infinitely bigger Natalie Romashko, Holland Canter defeating Sondra Blockman even with her arm starting 99% of the way down, and the list goes on for me.

Just such a fun time to be a fan of muscle girls armwrestling.

Andy is Andy. When DtV first emerged, Andy was running his megasite out of Germany. He would reach out to bodybuilders and request photos and profile info and women loved being featured by Andy.

He helped to launch a lot of the paysites you guys have heard of. His site was so heavily-trafficked back then that he was one of the top early referrers before YouTube sorta took over. He was updating his site manually almost every day for years.

We met during FIBO week back in 2001 and for me, it was like meeting a real celebrity from our culture. A few years later, he did get married to an American woman and relocated to the U.S. and he and Annie did partner to create MuscleAngels.

There was that guy, not Andy, who's name escapes me - possibly a photographer - who did some intimate clips with Annie - possibly they were /are a couple? Wasn't he associated with another site ? Possibly FTV in their early days?

I love the herbiceps armwrestling, but I always wondered how "real" the mixed matches were. Does anyone have any idea?

Oh of course the matches by Mike and Boomer were real! 🙄

James Cook yes, who had been working with Gene Hwang at FTVideo before the Muscle Angels venture. But Annie had also been running her own site at the time, too, that she updated quite regularly.

MuscleAngels was created by Annie and Andy, not James.

When James started FT Video, I believe he said one of his main goals was to produce better, more interesting muscle movies featuring the best of the best. Those early Marja Lehtonen and Lisa Bavington videos are classics. Awefilms has a similar origin, though James and Steve have pretty different backgrounds (James was in film iirc, and Steve was a career RN).

“Gene Hwang”? 🧐 Not sure where you got that one! lol GeneX has always been GeneX and he had run his own fansite years before James enlisted him to contribute photos for the FT paysite.

To be fair, a lot of his photos from FTVideo do credit him as "GeneX Hwang."

Yep, wasn’t clear with my comment that MA was a separate thing, just meant that it was after FTV.

And ya a lot of his photos were credited as GeneX Hwang (I forgot the X but remembered the Hwang somehow lol)

I was more talking about the F/F matches, my memory on the mixed matches is a little foggy but I still think quite a lot of them were real as the guys would definitely beat the girls every now and then. I remember there was even one where one of the guys beats Christy Resendes who ended up going into professional armwrestling. I think more faked matches sneaked in towards the end and would get called out on the forums but the fantasy matches were usually marked explicitly as such. Nowadays I think the vast majority of the mixed armwrestling matches (especially involving Sean who is a pretty buff guy) in the VODs are nothing but fantasy. But I'm just talking out of my ass here based off how I think it looks.

I do think Sean v Beauty is a Beast was real, I’ve arm wrestled her myself she’s no joke

I'm sure some of the matches are real but it sure is suspicious when you see he struggle basically the same amount against Beauty is a Beast as he does against bikini girls.

HerBiceps nowadays usually only does F/F matches when one girl is disproportionately larger than the other presumably in the hopes it will be a quick match and avoid potential injury. And it's very telling that even in those sorts of matches the big girl will usually struggle to put away the much smaller girl more than smaller girls struggle to beat the HB guys.

I reference that match specifically because I think he was surprised. They do a take 2 because take 1 looks like he tweaks something unexpectedly or something happens to his shoulder.

At the time she was 165# and was honestly stacked, huge legs, arms and shoulders

I met Sarah not too long ago after she started coaching at my alma mater. She was wearing sweats that showed literally nothing but was massive. Incredibly impressed
