Muscle girls and developing countries

Nov 22, 2021 - edited Nov 23, 2021 - permalink

I would like to know your experiences growing in a 3rd world country and liking gwm.

From my experience it is a big taboo. I have kept it hidden all my life, Incase my family or friends found out. I have only told 3 person in my whole life about this, who were my closest friends and from their reactions I learnt to never share it again.

Also the only gwms are online. Girls are not into keeping fit and the ones that go-to the gym only do light exercises. My first encounter with a gwm was when I moved to Europe.

As for a relationship, I got arranged married to a normal woman (or a below normal woman as being fragile is considered a beauty in our region). I have never shared my love for gwm with her. From her perspective girls should be fragile and let me do all the work. When she found out about my love from my Instagram she only got angry but never discussed this issue with me.

So all in all my experience with gwm remain only in digital format. If I see a gwm in my gym my first thought is to approach her but then I think what's the point

Do any of you have similar experiences coming from a 3rd world country ???

Depends on the country, honestly. Brazil produces the most gwm outside of the US and Russia.

South America and some South Asian countries have fbbs but in very religious countries they are probably not tolerated.

Among the young in Brazil it is not a big taboo right now, fit women with a Bikini/Wellness shape are very popular in TV shows (lower body very developed).

Currently, there is an anime called Jojo's Bizarre Adventure which popularized some poses, toghether with the trending about 'muscle women supremacy' and 'I'm attracted by stronger women'.

It is not hard to find girls with athetic bodies (or just not afraid to show their arms) among anime/drawing communities.

However, among the older generations it is still seen as 'lack of feminility'.

What qualifies as a third world country? Is Brazil considered to be third world? I realize there are tribal people living out in the Amazon rainforest, but aside from them... is Brazil not all that developed?

Industrial development is very concentrated in South and Southeast regions. The first two answers in this are very helpful: https://www.quora.com/Is-Brazil-still-a-third...

The only 'advantage' of Brazil when compared to our neighbours is our size, due to the Emperor not deciding to claim his Throne after the Republicans took control, so as not to provoke a civil war and divide the Empire.

I think 3rd world country was a wrong term. My question was more about south Asia (India Pakistan Bangladesh) but I think middle east comes here as well, as maybe Africa.

So I would suggest a change in the title.

Yeah, talking about India, it makes some sense. I'm Indian as well, and although there are lot of fit Indian women showing off their bodies on IG than there were 5 years ago, its still kinda taboo, especially in smaller more suburban parts of the country.

Sadly Latin America as a region has been falling a lot lately, although Brazil is better off. Before WW2 it had the highest standard of life for the average person outside of North America and Australia. But now the quality of life is expected to dip below Africa. I’m not going to be political as this isn’t the space for that, but it’s truly unfortunate.

The more wealthier Indians are able to afford being bodybuilders if they want to. Both male and females. The more poorer suburban Indians cannot afford doing this due to their economic class and their belief in the caste system.

From what I've seen India, Bangladesh and South East Asia have a fairly robust, albeit very insular circuit of bodybuilding shows (for both men and women).

Maybe a little off topic but China and South Korea have really risen as bodybuilding hubs aswell these past six or so years.

China and South Korea have risen so fast in the bodybuilding world. That is a true fact. But India and the surrounding countries think of bodybuilding as a taboo and not worth the time and money. I've been to India in the past and believe me bodybuilding is a something they want to get into because it does not make them any money and plus take them out of the caste system that they are in.

Why does no-one mention countries like Russia, Ukraine or Poland? Many famous gwm came from Eastern-Europe countries.

Well...look who escaped to South America after WWII. That'll tell you all you need to know.

Someone who lives there must tell us. I told what I see in my home country.

3rd world is a Cold War term. Severely outdated.

Agreed, that is not the preferred nomenclature. Developing Nations, please.

I found videos of female bodybuilding contests in Ghana and Kenya and Myanmar and rural north east India. seems like fbbs will soon exist in almost every country. these fbbs kind of looked like early 80s American fbbs.
