Why now muscular girls excite men?

Nov 02, 2021 - permalink

It's not in the past. It's still the overwhelming majority of woman being attracted to muscular or strong men. We're an anomaly. I think we've always existed. Just look at OJ Heller. Google him if you don't know who that is. There has always been a small percentage of men attracted to female muscle and strength.

I've been that way for almost as long as I can remember. Even before puberty. I can remember being 8 or 9 years old and being exhilarated by seeing a girl flex her bicep or getting to arm wrestle a girl. It's an incredibly powerful, primal thing deep in my core that I couldn't change if I wanted to. I imagine it's like that for most of us. Where it comes from I don't know. It could be affected by early childhood experiences. All I know is the first time I saw a girl flex her bicep or display strength, whenever that was, I felt something I never felt before. It flips a switch in my brain that nothing else can. It's interesting to think about where it all comes from, but I'm not sure we'll ever know in our lifetimes. Not unless someone does some real scientific study of the phenomenon.

I'm 68 and for as long as I can remember, seeing muscles on girls or women, definitely gave me a rush, so intense, that's hard to even describe. There was no way that I could ever tell my friends or family because they would never have understood. Pretty hard going through life like that. Seeing some girls in high school, with beautiful, muscular arms and watched them being teased, while I secretly dreamed about feeling their muscles. I wish I had the guts back then to tell them how gorgeous they were. However, they probably would have thought I was weird anyway. Finding Women's Physique World and the internet, finally made me see a glimpse of not being alone. Still, I never gathered the courage to tell anyone, until maybe 20 years ago.

The problem is the assumption that men and women are fundamentally different. We all start as a woman and then get masculinized by testosterone. Lots of things can happen in this process and differ from person to person, so some men turn out more feminine in certain traits, physical or mental. That you can be turned on by muscles and strength is something we are used to by women, but there is no reason to not expect a significant overlap in those preferences between men and women. The same goes for femininity, think of how many women fancy feminine men, even though femininity it is a typical male preference.

And this is only the biological side of things. Then there is learning and socialization, which can have a lot of impacts. I mean, just think of how people who were young in the 80s look back on what they've been wearing. People's perception of things changes all the time, and in connection to this, also their sexual preferences.

There is no assumption, it is a fact. I have never met a woman thathas her in check that fancy feminine men.

'bishonen/biseinen' culture exists for a reason. if you've never met women who like effeminate men, then you've based your information on a very shallow reference pool.. which unfortunately seems to be a recurring trend in many of these discussions.

Growing up, I saw many obese women out here in Chicago. I wasn't really attracted them in my youth. Since the early 2000s, with the help of the internet, I was able to see this sort of thing with no problems. Now at 43, having traveled to both Asia and Latin America, it's a breath of fresh air to see females that understand the benefits of healthy eating and excercising. Again, I'm not into the heavyweight bodybuilding physique. I much prefer the fitness/wellness level of athleticism in women.
