Age limit for female bodybuilders who compete

Is there a cut off age/age limit for female bodybuilders to compete? Does a female bodybuilder aged 48 competes in the over 40s category automatically, or is age just a number?

Nope. A 48 year old can compete in open BB, over 40 BB and over 45 BB.
