kristy hawkins is not natural, not now that she is breaking records in powerlifting and not when she was bodybuilding. if u are a woman, 5'3'' and 145-150 lbs stage ready lean u are not natural

To think kristy hawkins was natural jus proves how clueless someone can be. 😅

Good lord tell me about it 🤦‍♂️

Also, crazy+gym doesn’t get you as big and strong as Kristy is naturally. What makes PEDs work is with how they speed your recovery. When you train, you are damaging your muscles with the goal of them getting stronger as they repair during your rest periods. Steroids make it so that you can train longer and harder with less rest and get gains. If you tried doing the same routines naturally that an “enhanced” athlete does, you’ll only injure yourself and make you weaker.

I know that we all have a fetish for buff women, but there’s something ironic in that for as much as some people love muscles on women, they know so little about strength training and what goes into building a physique like that.

I agree there is a lot of "hope" that some of our favorites a PED-free and that the odds certainly don't favor that.

However, I would like to introduce an X factor. That would be those who've never touched a drug, but perhaps went through either a long puberty and/or excessive amounts of HGH. Back in the easy days of internet dating, I would search these types out as easily as ordering a washing machine repair part from the internet. That said, they were incredibly rare.

I'd begin my search by height, knowing most would be over 6-foot... That alone would knock the results from 9898 matches down to about 19. Then find the women who aren't even trying to pass themselves off as "thin". That's how I found the woman in the photo below.

It required me to drive about 600 miles. (Eventually we just flew back/forth) She'd actually gone to a little college on a track scholarship (shotput) and she was insanely strong. She carried a "womanly" amount of B/F, a woman's voice, pretty (Viking-like) face, barely needed to even shave her legs and had all the good and bad personality traits of a woman. But then she was 6'4" and a shade over 300lbs wearing a men's 13 shoe. She wouldn't have known Anavar from Avril Lavigne.

Now I am 5'10, work out and weigh about 240 lbs myself. She could blow me away in any leg exercise, as I would expect, and I was just a hair stronger in upper body strength. Also exactly as I would expect. So my point is this... If she had gotten "lean", maybe should would have had 19" calves? And isn't it quite possible that probably 2% of women might be made up the same way? Maybe they're 5'8" and 200 lbs, and if they leaned out, maybe 170?

Again, not making an argument that some of the "greats" aren't chemically enhanced (nor do I care) but I argue that it's possible for a very small percentage.

Roids are good. They help everyone build bigger and sexier muscles. Every one of your favorite athletes and especially bodybuilding stars needs them to be the best in this day and age. This should not be confusing.

This is probably the limit of what a natural woman, who hit the genetic lottery jackpot, would look like.

@nebreed, this is probably a fairly accurate presentation. Gertrude "Struppi" Hanneford would be another good example. She was even more muscular than this. There were 3 girls in my high school many years ago who were very muscular. They were untrained. One had amazing biceps and the only background she had was as a accomplished swimmer. The other two had thick, muscular arms...and big round biceps. All three were natural.... would have been awesome to see where weight training could have taken them.

It depends on genetics of course, few women build mass with effort.

Gatsby is spot on:

... What makes PEDs work is with how they speed your recovery. When you train, you are damaging your muscles with the goal of them getting stronger as they repair during your rest periods. Steroids make it so that you can train longer and harder with less rest and get gains. YES. This is why pro athletes of all types desire PEDs. They all don't really want to get "big." They need that enhanced recovery time! And not just for their muscles-- think about joints and connective tissues.

Think about this: how many baseball games are there in a year? (Over 150). What does it take to play that game and be a star for decades on end?

Coincidentally, have a look here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Major_L...

It's all about recovery time.

I know that we all have a fetish for buff women, but there’s something ironic in that for as much as some people love muscles on women, they know so little about strength training and what goes into building a physique like that.

Well said. I think it is a deliberate ignorance.

Jesus... Could you tell more about her strenght and size?

I used to work in the fitness business. Natural non Steroid athletes use Creatine which is something we naturally produce as humans. Good genetics is all any athlete needs, male or female. Another tip those who do use Steroids regularly or for years usually have VERY deep voices. As examples, Sheila Bleck, Paige Dumars.

I find it very hard to believe that you worked in the "fitness business" if you believe that. You cited two of the most extreme examples of PED users, but the truth is if you go backstage at your local fitness show and look at the bikini competitors, almost all of them are on at least a compound or two.

And that's the key thing here, is different competitors use different dosages. Some people here seem to have the mindset that if they're on anything at all, then they're going all in. That's not always the case, and in fact that's rarely the case these days. Like Gatsby said, even most bikini competitors are on something, but obviously they're not going to be dosing anywhere near as much as a bodybuilder (although some still do, because they may have been misinformed or haven't done their research). The harsh reality is if you want to keep up with the others, if you're in it to win it, you're going to be on something.

Julia Vins is clearly not using steroids (though she's a powerlifter not a bodybuilder).

What makes you say that she's clearly not using?

Masculinization on her face is the clue.

Gotta admit I was looking at her old photos. But when it comes to her recent photos...Yeah, I was wrong.

Gotta admit I was looking at her old photos. But when it comes to her recent photos...Yeah, I was wrong. It's barely noticeable but still.

It's not a matter of whether I think you're right or wrong. I'm not an expert on these things and I can't just look at anyone and know whether she's on PED's or not. Some women are genetic anomalies, others aren't. Some women pound the roids hard, some use smaller doses, and others are legitimately natural. With all of the dishonesty from a lot of these athletes you can never be too sure.

But I am interested if anyone has anything to say about and knows what they're talking about. I'm always willing to learn.

Some retain feminine voice after using roids.
