I've tried the site. And unfortunately they don't allow you to download the clips. To "buy" really means fuck all. There is no indication anywhere on the site that the videos are only viewable in tiny windows on their crappy site before you buy them. It's not even in the terms and conditions. And since they use DRM it's not possible to download the streams even if you have the knowhow.

I thought vod sites realized years ago not to inconvenience legitimate customers using drm.

Hi, thanks so much for the feedback. I’m working to constantly try and improve Pozedown with additional features, so I really appreciate all customer feedback.

Download functionality is definitely something that I will be looking into, and I hope to deploy that feature in the future!

I’m working hard to get more content on the site, so I’m really excited to see how things develop. All feedback is very welcome, and thanks for all of your support.

Yeah, judging from the trailers on the front page of https://pozedown.com, it's not the greatest, interface-wise. I mean I can probably download the videos fine, but most people don't have the browser plugins for that. The fact that there's a giant play/pause button in the middle of the video when it's playing and the mouse cursor is over it, rather than the controls being down in the corner somewhere, is pretty irritating. Also is there no seek bar on the full videos, or is that just a limitation for the trailers?

That said, some of the content looks nice. I'd probably be interested in the Danielle Willis and Amanda Essen videos if the site becomes more usable in the future.

Thanks, Tom. Speaking from personal experience, my favorite paysites offer the best quality and variety at a reasonable cost. And as others have mentioned, downloadability is a very important feature when I consider whether or not to invest my time and money. Having said that, I do understand that it takes time to build a site and gather the content in order to be considered a contender against all the other paysites out there. Also, the time you're taking to interact on this site goes a long way.

Hi Chipperpip and Cgsweat, thank you for your feedback. The site is a work in progress and I’m hoping to make incremental improvements with each new release, so it’s great to hear your initial thoughts on the site. I really want to try and make Pozedown as good as I can, so I really appreciate your comments and hopefully I can answer some of your questions.

Chipperpip – Yes, the full-length videos have full player controls with a seek bar and full screen button. The home page needed to be both desktop and mobile friendly, so that was one of the reasons for opting for the big play button on the trailer videos. The trailers go live on Youtube at the same time as on Pozedown, so you have full functionality to pause and scroll on every video at youtube.com/pozedown

Cgsweat – I completely agree. Over time I hope to help more athletes create and sell a variety of quality content on Pozedown at a reasonable price. Downloadability is a feature I am working on for the future, and I am always open to hearing suggestions from the community on how I can improve the site for everyone.

I hope that answered your questions, and thanks again for taking the time to provide feedback!

My feedback would be consider adding other payment methods like Paypal. The home page looks clear and good filters can be applied to find types of videos and types of competitors

It was a bit ridiculous to open a paid site for videos that can be watched for free on Youtube, I couldn't find any content worth buying on the site. It would be better if there were some more sexy outfits, lingerie thin bikini flex videos.

Hi Zakaka, it’s great to get your feedback and hear the sort of content that you would like to see athletes sell on Pozedown. The platform is still new, so it should be exciting to see the growth in the variety of content that athletes will be selling over time. Thanks, Tom

Are videos downloadable now? I like the look of the gym content but I would want to be able to download them.

Also, the trailers have a music soundtrack, but do the full videos also have music over the top or do we get live sound with full gasps and grunts? >:-)

Hi tmf473, at the moment, the videos are not available for download. Full-length videos do include background music to circumvent any potential licensing issues related to the music playing at the gyms where the athletes record their content. There are some great new clips coming soon, stay tuned!

Just wanted to give a few thoughts after coming back to take another look at the site, 2 years later:

  • At least the video player is far less obnoxious on desktop now!

  • It's pretty annoying that the profile pics for the women appear to be taken from their social media, rather than representing their actual condition in the clips (they generally seem to be in more offseason condition when shot than the profile pics imply). It would be far more accurate if a still from one of their videos on the site were used instead. The stage shots are obviously useless, since it quickly becomes clear they're going to look nothing like that. Also, what's the purpose of this profile pic of Krystle Spence, where literally none of her physique is visible?

  • It's also annoying that each video has to load from scratch as you scroll down any page with more than a couple. It would be much nicer if at least the initial stills for all of them loaded immediately, even if the videos themselves didn't to save bandwidth.

  • The editing of the preview clips sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. For instance, all three of the videos on Larissa De Campos's page say they involve flexing, but there isn't a completed biceps flex in any of the previews, so I don't know what they look like and so won't bother with any of them. There's the start of a flex in the middle one, but doesn't really look "massive" as the text implies. Maybe it would if it weren't cut off halfway through? I think you need to be less worried about showing the "good stuff" for free and just try to give people a reason to want the videos.

  • I think the hard 5-minute limit harms the editing of the full videos, it's nice they aren't repetitive, but there is room for more/extended shots in most of them.

  • On a more personal note, I'm far more interested in flexing/posing than gym workout footage except for a few specific exercises, but I don't know your exact shooting situations and preferences.

  • On the plus side, there is indeed some nice stuff of Amanda Essen flexing, even if all the sequences are a little too short.

Also,

Hi tmf473, at the moment, the videos are not available for download.

As I mentioned before yes they are, it just isn't as easy or intuitive as it should be. If a video is playing back in a user's browser, it can be saved, usually just by downloading the original video file or stream with a browser extension. If one of the few expensive and complicated DRM infrastructures that can prevent that is in use, it can always be screen-recorded.

Thanks for your prompt reply! I'm afraid the music breaks the deal for me though, sorry.

I don't think paying customers should need to go out of their way to find workarounds to download clips.
