Maybe stupid question about search engine results

For some reason whenever I type in "girls with muscle" in the address bar of the browser, the first search results are almost always links to specific individual galleries on the site. Cinderella Landolt and Blakelee Ortega are the ones that come out on top 9/10 of the times.

If on the other hand I make a mistake and end up typing, for ex. "girls with muslce ", I am able to get the home page of the site as the first result. Most of the times.

Not that this is a big problem, but I actually prefer to see the home page first. Anybody have any clue of what is going on with my search results?

Why are you searching rather than inputting the address?

That's a great suggestion, thanks!

Most search engine results like Google are customized to the individual these days. I always use a bookmark, but when I searched the site I simply came up with the site itself.

SEO expert here (Search Engine Optimization).

The reason why that's happening is because as Green_Tea said, that a lot of your results are customized to your experience. You can try searching in incognito mode/safe search to see if it's happening again.

If it's still happening, it might be related to the dwell time(time spend on a page) and other user experience metrics related to the individual models vs the GWM homepage. If users are spending more time on model pages, Google understand that those model galleries are more relevant than the homepage.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk

Rant:

Google should be renamed gaslighting engine instead of search engine. I hate it, because what it "thinks" relevant is usually the least relevant or desired result. A search engine should provide the exact same result for the same search terms regardless of your search history location, demographic, etc. Don't try to guess (badly) what is relevant to me, I'll decide for myself. Youtube's search is an even worse offender in this, hiding results, and ordering results based on nonsense.

So, obv. my problem is already solved, but I'm curious about @Bicepslover93 's helpful post.

I'm not sure that the factors you mentioned are the reason here. I don't remember searching for -or spending a lot of time in- the specific galleries that pop up as first results before they appeared. So if that was the case I'd expect other models to be my first results. I do use my browser in incognito mode.

Also, I use duckduckgo in case that's relevant.

Duckduckgo doesn't track your data so the results can be interpreted as "less accurate" than Google by some. I think it's working fine tbh.

There's a lot of reasons why that might have happened. Maybe that those models are the most popular of the website, hence why they would be display before the domain.

Unfortunately, I cannot give you an explanation since there's a lot of factors in play here, but keep using duckduckgo instead of Google.

I understand, thank you nonetheless for the interesting info

Same thing happens to me @qaz. I've been wondering about it myself!

I tried duckduckgo for "girls with muscle" and I get Cindy Landolt's gallery page as the top result, followed by this youtube chnanel. Pretty weird.

When I use google (which is what I normally use) the GWM home page is the top result, and this has always been the case AFAIK.
