Thoughts on tattoos

Mar 17, 2021 - permalink

<3 thanks a lot. i'm dying to get more (i have some very good ideas for some) but they are expensive. i do wonder how and where all these fitness influencers get so much disposable income when they spend almost all their time just working out

WebCams perhaps or schmoe donations or sponsors or photo/video shoots? There's probably a lot of money available to these muscular marvels outside of the pitiful money awarded in contests!!!!

I hate tattoos. I don't understand the fascination with having pictures or text on your skin.

I, for one, am unbothered by them. If a woman so chooses to have them, so be it. If it makes her happy, it's all good, nobody has any real say about it but her.

Of course, but that doesn't mean that they (tattoos) aren't ugly.

I just find a body covered in tats to be extremely unattractive. I don't a mind small few but body part covering works-of-art are just hideous. I just don't get today's obsession with getting tats for the fuck of it. I've seen so many bad tattoos. From personal experience I can't even get it up when a woman I'm with has too many tats.

Then let them be ugly. I'd rather a woman being honest about what she wants to REALLY look like than forcing herself to fake it.

Thanks for the heads-up Captain Obvious.

The original question was inquiring about our thoughts on tattoos, not whether a woman has a right to have them or needs our permission. This subject always seems to go sideways. Personally, I don't care for them... especially if they cover up beautiful female muscle. I give the same answer everytime and then I get the "she can do whatever she wants, it's her body". Whatever happened to a simple point of view and leaving it at that.

You can't separate the two topics-- both bodybuilding and tattoos are a form of body modification. These women have a desire to get big and/or ripped (and face regular disapproval for doing it). Their psychology has already adjusted to modifying their bodies in ways that are not always popular, combined with not giving a shit about about other people's opinions on the matter.

It's amazing how many muscle women have tats -- I guess these ladies really enjoy pain! Personally, I would think tats would be a no-no for a serious physique competitor, as the graphics hide the women's muscle development. A few minor tats in non-muscular areas of the body are no problem, however...

Yes, you can separate the two matters, however you apparently choose not to do so. The question was YOUR thoughts on tats which was given by some folks, and does not bring into question the thoughts or reasons behind why these women do what they do. And specifically, what you are talking about is body dismorphia, which even someone being fit, typically in psychological circles fits. Even though it can be argued.>

I personally don't care for any woman covered in tattoos, but especially female bodybuilders. I find that tattoos cover their muscles and vascularity to the point where it is unattractive. I don't mind if a female bodybuilder has a relatively small tattoo or a few small tattoos in certain areas of the body, but having them cover the entire body is not attractive or sexy.

For the thought police-- those are my thoughts on tats! Can you see, the title of this thread is "thoughts on tattoos." Please go to the beginning and read. The original poster posed the following questions:

  • Just wondering what are your thoughts on tattoos on muscular women?

  • Talking more about full arm sleeves or where a majority of the physique is covered in tattoos.

  • Do you find that it distracts from the physique?

I responded with an observation that tattoos are a form of body modification (just like bodybuilding), and that bodybuilding women have already adjusted psychologically to modifying their bodies in ways that are not always popular. ALSO they have already reached a point where they care very little about about other people's opinions on the matter.

Explain again how that is not on topic?

Because we are a society that is rotting from the inside out. And social media has only hastened this inevitable collapse. We don't care about other people's opinions, we just want to hear our opinions coming out of their mouths.

I have three of them myself. My wife has a few. I appreciate a well drawn tattoo.

I agree covering the entire body can be a bit much, but hey, it's their body, not mine, and I have the option of Not Looking.

Exactly. These idiotic social issues are even spoiling the niche of the Internet known as "female muscle".

ur almost certainly correct - currently trying to figure out exactly what those things are. sponsorships on instagram help a lot im sure. hate instragram though - gotta be one of the worst platforms in this modern tech age. way too easy to be detached and fake and free of accountability and nuance. too bad it's not going anywhere

I personally don't like them in general, and in a sport where you show 99% of your body to be judged and picked apart, I think it is a negative in the way you are judged. I'm not saying a small and not so noticeable tattoo is a bad thing. I am talking about the walking billboards. I say to each their own.

funny thing is..one can be identified by a tattoo..the italian mobster hiding in costa rica i think ..anyway authorities [supposedly] identified him on you tube by his tattoo's from his wifes cooking videos when he was masked up. i think ''they'' know what we all are up too and he was arrested because he took that risk. i think many criminals and bad people are allowed amongst us so good people can have more misery. why else release cold blooded killers [who kill again]into society..sometimes serving even less than a decade before their release.
