Did anyone see the message posted to Michelle [Gavin]’s Instagram story?

So that’s why she took down her other Instagram account, and that’s why she won’t post pics of her muscles/biceps. Apart me understands she didn’t get into this sport to feed into fetishes, and it’s her body, her choice; but at the same time I feel disappointed. I mean here’s the way I see it. Some are going to disagree. In this day in age, living in the techno cyber world, if anyone women puts themselves out there on social media, they are putting themselves at some risk. And given there are guys that like muscles chicks they are going to be feeding into someone’s fetish. These days social media the internet, is a great place for a bodybuilder to show off his/her work. We all share this fetish and there are times it has its bitter sweetness. But the human brain 🧠 is selfish sometimes, and I just can’t help but to feel disappointment, while at the same time understand Michelle has the right to show off her body however she wants.

I think there's a decent amount of female bodybuilders/athletes on instagram who post content for the purpose of showing off their work or for inspiration and don't consider other ways people might see their pictures. It just doesn't occur to them that once they post their pictures publicly, there's no realistic way to control whether and how people download and crosspost them to other places. Then at some point they happen to google their name, and are aghast to see that their pics have made their way to other sites, including this one. They quickly send me a panicked email to get their pics removed ASAP (and I of course remove them).

In Michelle's case, however, she had a Patreon page where she directly fed into the muscle fetish and made money off of it, so acting like this is something she'd never do is confusing to me.

Yeah if she has a patreon page dedicated to her physique then she has/had to be aware of it. With that said guys with muscular/fit chick fetish can and are extremely creepy individuals on social media. I have trouble reading through comments on instagram and even on this website. Their's a way to be into something, promote and be a fan without tying so much sexual fantasizing about it. I have seen way way too many amazing woman in this industry completely 180 out of social media/internet after just a few months.

It is totally reasonable for her to change her mind and not want to do that anymore. It's just that I read her post as saying "I would never, that would be gross", and when that's exactly what she used to do, it rubbed me the wrong way. Then again, maybe that's not how she meant it.

I am pretty open about the fact I have of fetish. Anyone can easily find muscle women on my FB or Instagram. Tarna was getting weird things like marriage proposals on her FB, and she’s left the bodybuilding scene. I usually don’t say anything weird, and give them their repeated privacy. However one muscle chick blocked me all because I tagged her in photos I took of muscle beach when I was in LA. I mean I don’t get how women think so it can be hard sometimes.

Yeah, I just saw it as her not wanting her new account to be focused on that.  She still posts physique photos sometimes, it's just not the majority of posts anymore (and she probably gets a bunch of creepy and/or demanding messages).

Though I can support her personal preferences or change of heart, the message comes off very contrived and two-faced. This woman burst on the scene doing clips and photo shoots that specifically fed the fetish ( flexing in skimpy wear, shirt ripping, fruit destruction etc.) and now to act offended? I call horse crap.

Michelle deleted her Instagram again because someone was impersonating her, now has a new one. Make sure you’ve had her photos from her past account saved.

IMO this is a combination of issues. First of all, I NEVER interact with personal accounts of fit/muscular women on social media even if they are set to public ... I don't comment and I don't like pictures either. Secondly, people need to realize that alot of these ladies are not training to please their followers ... they are training for personal goals, a desire to compete, sports, etc. I'll share personal accounts of two (now formerly) muscular women I know who are lifelong friends of mine. Both are now entirely out of the fitness scene due to the creepy, crude, and untoward comments they got on social media and in person.

First girl: I'll call her S. S is currently 32 and about 5-6 years ago S got into the fitness craze and wanted to eventually compete, she made pretty decent gains ... and then started attracting creeps and weirdos at a local gym and on her progress pictures on social media. After 2 years she stopped working out in gyms and shut down all of her social media accounts. Guys from halfway across the world were sending her really disturbing messages on Instagram in half broken English.

Second girl: I'll call her C. C is the same age as S and myself. Back in high school and college, she was a multi-sport per season athlete and spent hours in the weight room after school when we were in high school and by the time she graduated from college she had legs like Vivi Winkler and could squat over 350lbs. Obviously having a lower body like that is going to draw attention and she drastically reduced her gym time ... and by 2013/2014 she had stopped working out entirely.

I don't know why so many of us are creeps as well. People demanding flexing pics and videos are the worst. If someone posts once a year they post once a year, deal with it. If I choose to follow some bodybuilders or fit girls on instagram there has to be more to it than just fetish. They have to be interesting beyond their muscles or inspiring or both.

But at the same time I Don't understand those girls who freak out because they get a genuine compliment. Getting discouraged by negative comments and creeeps I can understand. But positivity and compliments? That's a bit weird to me.

There's a huge difference between "wow, you look amazing!" and "OMG your biceps are amazing and I want to lick them - luv from Krebleckistan pls DM me!!!!!" followed by 10 direct messages asking for their phone number or something like that.

I think she knew exactly what she was doing and why she was doing it ($$$). My guess is she's growing up now, and realizing the impact of the internet and social media can have on one's life, both professionally and personally. Could be she's worried or had issues with employers or co-workers knowing what she once, very willingly was doing online, or maybe it's a significant other. I don't know this is true in her case, but I've seen it happen and I think we've all heard stories about something someone posted online years ago that comes back to bite them in the behind years down the road.

I've been a big Michelle fan for a while and I asked her recently about vids and over 2 months got 2 responses: maybe, and then no.

I always find it pretty laughable that someone would be reticent to reply to a genuine compliment or isn't willing to do a paid custom (which is what I ask for usually, and I've gotten great results because of how i handle it) but is at the same time on HBC or Patreon or OF doing the same content or even more risque. In her case when she was getting all of those messages with her original account she was making explicitly fetish oriented videos for muscleappeal AND doing photoshoots where she did quite a few topless or implied topless or see-through, some of which appeared on her patreon which...she set up to make money off of people who have the fetish.

I TOTALLY get if they are trying to clean up their online image and stay away from certain stuff but don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining lol

I'm not into those muscle fetish videos, only fans etc etc wether it's paid or not I'm more the kind of guy that appreciates these women on a bodybuilding standpoint.

But I find it pretty laughable when some of these girls act like they are disgusted by muscle fetish stuff and guys who love it, when they are or were literally MAKING MONEY AND LIVING OFF IT.

Like LMAO

I actually signed up for an OF for someone I bought from regularly but her OF is like not even a lot of msucle stuff, it's a lot of sexual stuff that I don't want to pay for, and personally am not into and his a huge turn off. I'm always game to leave a compliment but god i wish people would think twice before leaving some of those dumbass comments lol

Especially if they receive that stuff by DM, that's why more and more women are turning their instagram private and also asking admins to not appear on this site anymore

^ this x100 ... I only have one Instagram account (my personal account) and since I'm not adding any of these women to my personal account I have a list of accounts I follow in a folder. Once upon a time I had about 200 pages I followed and now I'm down to maybe 100 due to women setting the pages private. Kessia Mirellys's page is now private which is a big disappointment ... her physique was amazing.

The problem I see is that a lot of people approach these women as objects of fetish instead of human beings. They aren't interested in them, they just see them as inanimate objects. Of course it's a turn off for them.

And remember these are the girls personal accounts most of the time, that their IRL friends see. If you are going to say stupid shit there of course they are going to get off IG or private their account. Remember this the next time you are going to comment "I want to lick your biceps" on some girls IG. Especially if they are underage.

My solution is simple I have one single personal IG account. So whatever I comment can potentially be seen by my friends who follow me. No secondary or hidden insta stalker accounts.

If you are that hot, it is your duty to show off your muscles for our pleasure. Period!!!

literally the kind of mentality we are trying to not propagate. this is why women quit.

This is fucked up.

If the argument "This is shitty and dehumanizing to the women" doesn't convince you not to harass them, then maybe you are more receptive to "If you keep treating them like objects they will go away and you will have fewer hot women to look at."

I don't get it, really. Female bodybuilding is different than male, most of fbb fans are attracted to muscular woman and they are following them because of that. Of course, there are disgusting creeps amongst them and there are educated fans, who know about training, effort, nutrition, etc, but underlining of all of that is being attracted to female muscular bodies. And if those chicks are making money because of their fanbases, they should know that. Puting all fans in the one bucket, just because some of them are creeps, is not fair.

But of course, I try to understand them also, some of these girls may be more immune to receiving unpleasent attention from some retards, who have incredible audacity in their comments, and some girls may be less. But still, they making money with their bodies, its no different from being a model, but its obvious that fbbs have different viewers.
