Wondering if anyone has purchased any videos for them and what they're like? Video quality? for over 120 minutes of footage for 20 bucks seems like it might be worth it.

Video quality varies but is usually pretty good.  But there are lots of videos posted online in places like Megaupload and Filesonic, where you can download them for free.  Search them out - the video you want to buy may already be posted somewhere.  I've downloaded several of them.  Check Saradas  http://www.saradas.org/ - there are lots of articles posted there with links to the videos.

Or instead of being a thief, how about actually paying WPW for a DVD?  Maybe this comes as a surprise to some people, but they're running a business, not a charity.

To answer the original poster's question, video quality is generally very good.  Note though that DVD's prior to number 600 are transferred from VHS; from 600 onward, they are "true" DVD's.  The quality still isn't bad before 600, but the video quality is generally a little better on the newer ones.  As far as content, they tend to follow a pretty basic formula - posing in a variety of outfits (bikinis, leotards, dresses; no nudity), gym work, and interviews.  If there are particular women you are interested in, or particular types of physiques, I might be able to provide some specific comments.

For one thing, I'm not stealing anything.  Someone else posted it, that is the crime.  For another thing, I'm unemployed and retired, living on money from my IRA.  I can't afford to pay for videos or memberships to web sites.  I wish I could!  I'd join Muscle Angels and Her Biceps instantly because they have great videos.  Until I find a rich uncle, I appreciate those who are posting this stuff.

Obviously, whoever posts it is committing a crime...but that doesn't mean that that person is the only one doing something illegal.  But if you think illegal downloading (which you admitted to doing in your first post) is *not* a form of stealing, I guess I don't know what else to say.  And I don't see how "I can't afford to pay for it" somehow makes it OK.  This isn't quite in the same league as stealing a loaf of bread because you can't afford food (which would still be illegal, of course, but perhaps somewhat easier to justify).

The internet is the wild, wild, west.  Not so much anymore but it was in the beginning.  There were no laws here.  That was half the lure of it.  I think the net has become a piece of crap with all the new laws and getting crappier every day.  F&%# the law.  I want Dodge City back like it was and I make no apologies for it.

WPW is the original, commercial source for women's bodybuilding photography and videos. I started buying from them in the early 1980's. They have a big catalog and they know their subject matter. I think what keeps them head and shoulders over  most newcomers is that they were a great source in an era when they had no business competitors, and the physiques of that era were (in my general view) more aesthetic than typical physiques today. I'm still a fan of many of  today's women, but I'm making a broad generalization about muscular women now and then. WPW also covered  some non-bodybuilders.

It's worth buying from  them (I've bought a lot), and it's a shame so much of their material has been ripped off.  Older videos don't have the same resolution as today's technology, but the subject matter and their knowledge of posing and the women makes WPW purchases a good value.

This is by far the best one I've bought from WPW / Ray Martin:

The Michelle Bellini one is also excellent.

Enjoy it while you can, because it will all go down some day, sooner than you think.

Can someone else recommend some WPW videos that they enjoyed?

Can someone else recommend some WPW videos that they enjoyed?

Picking a few of my favorites:

WPW-81:  Charla Sedacca and Janice Graser
WPW-107:  Lisa Lorio
WPW-196:  Lenda Murray
WPW-459:  Marja Lehtonen
WPW-473:  Debi Laszewski
WPW-483:  Shannon Rabon
RM-13:  Michele Ralabate
RM-218:  Brenda Raganot

Of course, the videos you like will depend a lot on your particular taste.  If there are particular women you like, or particular body parts (biceps, legs, etc.), or if you prefer blondes / brunettes / whatever...any of these things could affect recommendations.

Ditto ;D Got a sample tape from an ad in their magazine that had a montage of quite a few gals. Never did buy any of the individual tapes as the one was pretty much all I could handle...

Bought the Kristy Oakley video yesterday and I'm absolutely stunned. Amazing muscles, strength (benches 215lbs @ 115lbs bodyweight; 330lbs squats); absolutely adorable/cute personality.

Highly recommended video. I can't believe there hasn't been anything else out there with her. Oh and her sister is pretty fit too; apparently it runs in the family (would've loved to see her mother, lol!)

WPW is a great site. wpwmagazineonline dot com, I believe is the URL for purchasing their DVDs, so I will comment on that site. The video quality is generally quite good. I'd guess most of the models
they have DVDs of are from the 90s era, and thus the video camera quality is of that generation. Not HD, still acceptable. Where else can you purchase legends such as Tina Lockwood or Michelle Ralabate?
Or lesser known but fantastic models such as Kim King or Linda Battaglia? To me, it is a great source for women of the "golden age" of female bodybuilding.
