Epic for a teenage girl in the early 80's. I remember being blown away as a kid by her pics in the muscle mags. She seemed like the was in the sport for life, but left pretty fast. She talked in her articles as though she definitely saw herself as the future of the sport. She knew she was good looking and talked about that and her size being a great combination. I never heard exactly why she quit, though she was an Olympic athlete later in life.
Deanna Panting? Wouldn't it be us panting looking at her photos?
Seriously though, yes she was definitely one of the classics from the early days of the sport.
She probably did as she was also known for her strength
Not much wrestling. Kay Baxter worked on her a little, but she was not overly interested. She put a couple of holds on for the cameras on the WPW owner and Kay's husband. He said she was strong when I asked. Kay asked her to put a scissors on the hubby. She won the one strength contest she entered. The final was her winning a tug o war vs a slightly bigger girl.
